You 100% sure about that?
I find that, that WAS true, but since last month one can see P2P and NNTP locally is now getting shaped unlike in the past.

Had my Gold account for about a year now. I have never been shaped on the IS news server. Not once. Always full speed.

*checks altbinz' download speed history*

Nothing but full speed since 12:30 PM when I got home. Whole of last week I was home, streaming 1080p right off the news server on content 200 days old. There's an issue on your side. Methinks your DSLAM is being overloaded during the day.
 
Whenever I have an issue with my OW account, it comes right just as I'm about to send off a mail to support :D

Guess I'll wait until tomorrow for Gamers King....... PLS NO ONE BUY THE LAST ONE.
 
I must add a clause to my statement:

The NNTP news server has been shaped before (the local one), and can be shaped. But we try not to.

We have not had the need to shape local yet. We do reserve the right to.

Anyone else having really slow news server downloads tonight.
I am on a afterhours 10 meg account.
Getting 350k or so.

Was just about to ask the same thing, mine keeps getting stuck on 0 KB/s :(

something is really wrong tonight

Absolutely!

We will have one launch as a promotion real soon. After which we will make some permanent decisions

MrBeep, do you know if EA's Origin client downloads is shaped during daytime? Seems the max we can get during the day is 50kbps.
