Kindly PM me so that I can see what is going on

This is the 3rd time now that my account doesn't connect Friday, Sunday, & today. the first 2 times I got a new username & password, today I phoned & got told "they" will call me back I mailed support & now left a reply om Sunday's ticket.
What is causing this to happen? Seems as if the login details vanish as I am supplied with new details every-time. Are we sharing account details with other clients?, as the usage tracker on the login details I've had so far never match what I do(Always WAY MORE than what I do & monitor on my side), another indication might be why Leon @openweb support called me James & clearly on my account my name is not James?!?
MY OW number is OW26099 if that helps.

I've had the best kind of internet for Months now since moving from Afrihost, before Friday I had NO complaints. Just these last 3 days that's been bad.
 
Anyone else having authentication problems - AGAIN!!!!!!!

I had this problem on Sunday, now, two days later I am experiencing the same problem!!!!! :wtf:
(Second account I use for testing works fine)

Never had this problem on Gamers King.

I notice my router don't authentication after restart last night.

Wait about 5 min it authenticated automatically with no problem. ;)

I'm not an Openweb customer anymore but I have an uncapped account with Internet Solutions and every now and then I change over to my Afrihost capped just to use it up and compare etc and sometimes for diagnostic reasons. When I changed accounts, it would take about 30 secs (or less) until I was online, but lately, I have noticed that it would take a few minutes now until my adsl light would come on, irrespective of what ISP I use, so something has changed with telkom is the only thing I can fathom, what exactly I don't know, it's just taking 10 times longer to authenticate now.

These are my line stats:

Mode: ADSL_G.dmt
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 301 270
Attenuation (0.1 dB): 200 100
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 12256 1196
Rate (Kbps): 4096 512

So, nothing wrong or has changed on the line/hardware side so I can only assume its telkom's authenticating that's "overloaded"?

Any thoughts?

EDIT: And luckily I am blessed with a non-congested exchange (touch wood :))

Thanks. I waited for nearly an hour, but still no authentication. Emailed support, but received an email this morning saying account is fine. Weird!!

What router you using? try update to the latest firmware and see if it can resolve the problem.

Also is your router hot? if so, try put a fan to cool the router, this can resolve a lot of problems.

Using a Netgear DGN2200 Wireless Router. Thanks, will try that this evening.
 
Could possibly be a router on its way out. One of my routers recently popped and in the weeks leading up to it I had endless troubles with it. Connection kept dropping and it would take ages to authenticate.

If you know someone with a spare router, maybe try borrowing it and testing it on your line.

Could possibly be; but how do one explain it if I use a username from a different ISP, then I will only wait a few seconds before authentication is successful.
 
Kindly drop me a PM with your ADSL username and the name and surname of the registered client.

Had the same issue, Beep sorted it out. Touch wood still working ;)
