Thanks :) Yeah I'm totally fine with shaping, being throttled to unusable speeds is what bothers me!

Nope I havent. Telkom said that my line is fine. Only other reason could be the modem, anyone have any good suggestions for a modem? Im currently using a trednet TEW-658BRM

Exactly the same here, cant even open speedtest.net and NNTP also below 10kb/s. FNB is working 100% though. Before the whole MWEB thing my standard uncapped 4mb account use to fly, even during peak times.
 
I dunno what Leon did to my account yesterday, but it is flying today. THIS is how I like to get on and do my work. No waiting.
Had two Team Viewer sessions with clients this afternoon and it was nice and snappy.

Fired up Google maps as that is always a problem after midday. No issues. Instant load on everything.

Holding thumbs big time that this is how it stays.

Hey guys, how is the Standard Uncapped 1mb or 2mb account for streaming? Also for Youtube and other flash video during the day during the week? Is the Gamer King better or the Standard uncapped? I am looking at an account at the R200 and under mark. I am not so worried about downloads as I can scale back on that - I just need a reliable connection during the days of the week for normal surfing, http downloads and streaming/Youtube. Weekends will be mainly streaming as well. Any guys here on the Standard 1/2mbp or the Gamer king 1mbps?

Is telkom still being difficult to allow Openweb to sell bundled services?

Got some weird latency happening in Guild Wars 2 this evening. Got latency spikes up to 2200ms according to Windows 8 Resource Monitor and in game performance is affected by it.

The weird thing is, everything shows up fine on the traceroute. Can you please check it out?

Yes they are. All sorts of technicalities. We are much closer now though.

I find it fascinating that this company does not want to make more money.

Tracert looks pretty normal.

Can you try some different maps?

Hi there

Ok so latency was persisting - I just logged over to Satan's network that I have to keep for 2 months and it is not experiencing the same lag. Approximately 200 to 250ms ping which is usual experience!

Will switch back in a moment after I kill a few things :)
 
Let us know if the problem persists, so that I can get the network boffs on the case

MrBEEP, how much would it cost me to move from 1mb uncapped to 2mb uncapped? At the moment I am enjoying your 1mb uncapped for the amazing price of R109 but Axxess manage the line for R145,00/month. I would prefer that Openweb manage the line too, if you do offer that service.

My 1mb won't go much faster than 0.6mb/sec so I am hoping this will improve things

Something has changed over the last few days. All of a sudden my line is working full speed for a large portion of the day and night where before I was having serious issues with the line. So either Telkom fixed their issues in the area (there have been at least 20 Telkom trucks a day around here - no jokes) or Openweb changed something on their end.

Either way, pretty happy...
