Wow, is the network unshaped or something? Downloading a WoW patch on one of my 10mb Gamer King accounts at a fairly steady 1mBps :D

(Hope I didn't just jinx it)

Standard uncapped at 1KB/s so no it's not unshaped. I thought gamers was standard uncapped. Guess I was wrong.

Gamers king is not standard, Gaming is on gold 24/7 and I believe downloads go gold after hours and silver during the day. Could be wrong.

Maybe @MrBeep could confirm?

However gamers king accounts rock.
 
ok so.. Im thinking of switch to openweb with this m(fail)web business going on.

i currently have 1mb from mweb, and im in pta - centurion area.
so i just wanna know, which openweb adsl account should i get for a bit of gaming, downloads, streaming and everyday normal usage?

How does this compare to the "1Mbps Vanilla Uncapped (Polar Edition) R 99.00" and can I upgrade?

Standard > Vanilla?

"Secret Uncapped" sounds better than "Polar Uncapped" :)
 
Anyone used the Always on wifi? I'm trying fir the first time and it is asking for a logon domain. The username and password is supposed to be the same as the ADSL but what is the Logon Domain?

Sorted, don't use the "smart" hotspot

Gamer King accounts are standard during office hours, Gold after hours, and Platinum for in-game traffic 24/7

My 7000ms to GW2 on Gamer's King says other wise!

Once again, MWEB performing perfectly. On the Openweb account, actions take from 20 seconds to over a minute to perform!

Traceroutes look fine as usual. Please confirm that these accounts are not individually throttled or anything like that. I can understand P2P underperforming during the day, but GW2 is the only thing running and does not feel prioritised as advertised!

Another thing, I don't have permission to view my ticket after logging in to the site - whats up with that?

You were emailed a username and password on an alternate network yesterday. Have you tried these yet?

We are not getting any response from your side, making it very difficult to troubleshoot the problem. This forum post is the first feedback we have received after sending you the alternate network details

Yebo - the ticket MDX-274-59757 which was assigned to the username and password doesn't show up in the ticket system for me, so I created a new ticket #LRX-277-26106 referencing that one.

Edit: Just reread your post - did you mean a new ADSL login was assigned to my account?

My Gamer King account misbehaved similarly a while ago when playing WoW. Sometimes my pings were as high 3000ms but I managed to get it sorted with support by emailing them with the IPs that were in use during my gaming session. They added them to their list of prioritized IPs and it worked like a charm for my WoW server (Twilight's Hammer - France). I used peerblocker as a monitoring tool and geolocated all the IPs, noting down which ones were in France, and sent them about 6 or 7 IPs. Now I get sub-200ms almost all the time

Question

On the users.isdsl.net page, I put in my new openweb details but it shows history from the beginning of 2013 but I only joined like a week ago.

Are accounts recycled/shared/pooled or something?
