Noe before then. I happened to check around 11. Wondering how long before that it's been like that.

Go install net limiter, it will log the network traffic of programs.

Currently getting floating speed between 160~200KB/s~ :D

Really wish that I could just watch something on Hulu or Netflix again sometime today.
Newsbins are able to download at basically full speed on my 4Mbps Line, but Netflix looks like a lego movie, everything is so blocky, and Hulu has been buffering every couple seconds. Tried with 2 different DNS providers, so looks like they're still shaping those sites.....

Streaming is not shaped at all.

I have been streaming all day from Youtube without any issues using a Vanilla uncapped 4Mbps account.

If you experience a problem with streaming, kindly email [email protected] so that we can investigate

Shaping is not set at any specific time. It is completely dynamic depending on how busy the network is at any given time.

Same here, only getting about 35kb/s now. Seems it kicks in around 12pm.

The Western Cape and surrounds is still very busy. The rest of the country seems to have settled down alot.

We have ordered more capacity for the Western Cape area which should be implemented in the next week or so (Telkom reliant).

Still shaping? Wow. Real eye opener this weekend.

I just sent an email, thanks.
Looks like Netflix is back to normal on my laptop, PS3 and Android.
Hulu though, is so slow it actually caused my PS3 to freeze. Had to manually switch it off. On an Android Mini PC, where it usually works like a dream on High Quality, I can't get it to even play for 5 seconds now, on Low, without buffering.

Everything else seems normal, Youtube 720p without issues, newsbins go at about 400KBps.
This is on a Silver 4Mbps Uncapped account.

Edit:
Went and did some international speed tests for interest sake.
Nothing else doing anything on the network. Just playing Guild Wars 2 which uses nothing.

Just wanted to say that since this morning Hulu has been working like usual again. Can stream on the High Quality setting again, even while something is streaming on youtube on another device.

Thanks to Charmaine for helping out on a Sunday night at 11PM.
10/10 for service.

Looks like it was most likely an issue at Hulu, because it streamed like a dream on my laptop, but battled to get anything to play for longer than 5 seconds without buffering on a device like my PS3, Android or iOS devices.

Consistent availability seems to be an issue, these are tests done this morning, all within under the last hour:

International seems quite erratic, had port reset last week Friday by Keoma, difficult to fully test over a weekend, but now Monday is back, get this.

I don't play online games that require a low ping, but do play the sandbox game Minecraft a fair amount, and with this connectivity to my own international servers (Germany) and others (US, Ukraine) keep getting timed out.

Just something weird I noticed now; the MyBB local speedtest sites seem to be buggered on my side. Both CPT and JHB servers are maxing out at 2Mbps on my side.

Testing two other local servers using the actual speedtest website and everything maxing out. Can someone else confirm this?

Some tests:

I'm on the 2MBS Gamers King Account and the highest download speed I've gotten today was 0.32mbs and upload was 0.39. Is this the sort of speeds I should expect with day-time shaping of the network?

Whole weekend was decent, was able to do World Bosses (including the lagfest that is Tequatl) just fine. Monday morning, log in, Teq fight happening, run over and laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag all over the place.

For something that prioritises gaming, there is something wrong with the shaper. As usual, traceroutes look fine, my in game ping was fine EXCEPT the map IP which bounced all over the show from 300ms to 2000ms. Skill activation took over a minute to fire off, I was able to run for close to 2 minutes before being rubberbanded back to where I started.

All I want to do is play GW2 on an account I was promised was perfect for gaming. I have had these issues since the beginning, even with switching of accounts. As it is now, I miss out on the new content due to my ISP not living up to it's promise. Funny how unshaped weekends work perfectly but come Monday and it all goes to ***** again. I am making this post publicly and not in PM for the benefit of the forum as I know I am not the only person with these issues.

Openweb now no connection

Morning,

I have replied to your mail :)

Hi, Ok, so now have to resort to a backup 8ta connection to resolve this.
After receiving your email informing me that I had been moved t an alternate routing account, I restarted my router after powering off for 20+ minutes. Now I cannot reconnect at all.

I first SMSed support, then called the support line 0861224466 to get help, and get told two things: 1. That I must contact Keoma to obtain assistance in getting new login details, and then when I ask why support cant help me, the lady tells me that I need to email the accounts admin department - This is when I can not connect to get internet connection, a requirement to email! Needless to say I had to drop the call.

So what next steps to resolve this please, have dug out my 8ta dongle for now.

I also have slow speed on Openweb today. I get about 300 kbps streaming youtube on a 1 Meg account.

Hi Sharky,

My apologies. Seems like the alternate details did not copy and paste correctly. I see however Charmaine is on the case. Please respond to her as soon as possible in order to have this resolved.

Hi Stevenc,

We have not heard from you, thus presumed the fault was resolved.

I have now re-opened the ticket with the senior engineers
