I'm getting full line speed with downloads or anything besides YouTube.
You-tube only buffers at half line speed, but downloading YouTube videos is full speed.
I've also had issues Sunday night and the whole of yesterday with my Gold Uncapped 2Mb account.
Running a speedtest gives me round about proper speeds(1.7-1.9mb) but its still dead slow and non responsive.
Restarted router a few times with no go, even left the router off for about 20 minutes.
I'm on the IS backbone and if I change to a Telkom account the speed is fine.
Account is not working at all. Keep getting authentication issues. Was given another username and password to try which doesn't work either.
Tried an Afrihost and WebAfrica account which don't work. Same error.
Tried my MWeb 1gb which works 100%.
Why is Mweb the only ISP which works?
PS: i don't think its an i.d.10.t error.

Youtube is never shaped.
I was watching HD Youtube videos the whole of this morning on a Standard Uncapped (Love) account and it works great
As I said, if I try watch them on YouTube it only uses around 250KB - 300KB.
But if I download the same video, it runs at full 440KB.
Do you think this is caused by something within OpenWebs system, or more of a Telkom/Google issue?
I usually get pings in the 35 to 40 ms range but today I am getting pings of 7ms to MTN. I am in Cape Town.
Has Openweb moved to the MTN backbone?
My connection has dropped too. Been behaving erratically for the past 2 days. Will email support now.
Sounds like a router or Telkom fault.
The network is on Green at the moment, and flying!
Just check the test account I was given now and seems to be working.

My account is still not working. I think the test account I was given is limited as the pings/speeds are very bad. Any chance you guys will be able to fix/reset my account?
I need some help/advice. Since Thursday 12 September my ADSL line is working intermittently - the downstream is constant at 2048Kbps but the upstream is fluctuating between 64Kbps and 512Kbps. Connections last for everything between 30 sec to 60 min, but after hours is constant at whatever speed it was syncing last.
Telkom is no help at all - a port reset does not help either, it just comes back after 30 min. On 3 different occasions I was disconnected while phoning 10210. Sometimes there is a lot of clicking and background noise.
They cannot even tell me if they are busy upgrading the exchange, which might explain the problem.
Anyone know somebody I could phone to get more details to fix the problem?
