Hey Mr. Beep. BIG fan and happy with Openweb so far. Unlike the....
I recently DL'ded more than usual... I see my 2nd hop is 231 ms ping. Any technical reason for it or is it me being naughty boy once in a blue moon?

I am happy to be throttled beyond usage, BUT, this ping cuts my gaming to nothingness.....

Guys,

If you use Unotelly for Netflix etc....... do an ipconfig /flushdns and try whatever you were doing again. Seems to have worked for me ( for now )..

UPDATE : Yep - that definitely made a huge difference...or whatever OW may have done in the meantime.... latency is still a little high on international

UPDATE 2 : Scrath that - its better, but not nearly where it should be... warrepomp gaan aan manne ?

i did it before you saw .................. i hope Mr Beep is prolly gonna gimme another username soon if they dont get to the bottom of this LOL

Streaming seems to be back to normal tonight. Whatever Openweb did today, fixed the issue.

2nd hop is exchange. Most likely congestion, nothing that Openweb can fix, you'll have to get Telkom to look at that.

Post a traceroute here so we can make sure that is the case.
 
Just did a test with my Afrihost account and got the full speed 437 k/s. So my issue is still with Openweb. Hope they get this sorted out. Had a good run this month so i'll patiently wait. Good Luck Mr Beep.
 
Wow! Speeds are in the toilet tonight! Something has definitely gone wrong at the Cape Town side of things. Websites slow / inaccessible and here is the tracert to show why!

Before i do that Dr i would like to post an interesting scenario. I usually use a seedbox which is now going along at 200k/s ( normally 430 ). The strange issue is when i connect to utorrent my speeds are fine. How do i explain that?

Could be due to the nature of the protocol, torrents use a lot more connections.

There is most definitely something wrong with IS at the moment in the Cape Town region though, where you at?
