OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread

Is there an option to "pause" an account for a few weeks? I am going away for over a months later this year and it would be nice not having to pay while not using the service.

Problem is I can't cancel and resubscribe as I am on one of the specials and also it is from the middle of month
 
And today after a few weeks of good service, my line is crawling again at http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2355013337.png

Unfortunately this is why I've left OpenWeb due to wind up at the end of this month. I'm pulling downloads (not torrents or mega-G stuff, just a simple Java download in this case - 97M) at < 709kbps. No doubt it'll be blamed on the latest Mac release, yet my mate who's with Telkom is cruising along at virtually full speed for his exact same downloads - also uncapped, so that's not the issue.

Sorry guys, just not good enough I'm afraid. I can't live in fear of every major product release completely upsetting the balance, and having to play musical networks with support.

I don't think there is any network strain due to Apple updates this time, the demand isn't nearly as huge as the iOS7 update. My updates went full speed last night and one this morning at around 10am also.
 
What is the difference between the Gamers King uncapped package and the Hero Edition uncapped package?
 
things are a bit slow at the moment... 13KB/s ... hopefully it gets better soon .. p2p traffic being shaped heavily. The rest is fine.

Keep hitting heavy lag in GW2 tonight, have to keep resetting my router.

On to my 5th reset now... keeps spiking up to 1k to 2k ms.
 
Something very wrong. All of a sudden I can't authenticate to my account anymore. First time having this problem since having this account. Using my free 3gbyte from fnbconnect to post this. Very unhappy.

Openweb....Please can I cancel this useless account immediately so i can change ISP!

I am currently trying to play on a south african Minecraft (not most bandwidth intensive game) on my GAMERS account and keep getting disconnected every 20 seconds and i know for a fact this is Openweb because it works on my telkom account. how can you shape games on a gamers account?!?!?! come on, really???

i know for a fact its you guys coz it works 100% on my telkom account. this says that telkom is better than you guys!!! i wish i didnt have to wait a whole month for this cancellation process.

Game play is not shaped on a Gamers account.

at night its not a problem but during the day in the week its unusable

Edit: games that is
 
The packet loss occurs on the receiving network after we have handed over the traffic.

It could also be caused by a router or Telkom fault.

then why is it perfect at night... i mean i was playing this morning at like 3 and it was running beautifully, but now cant log on at all. browsing is fine though
 
Nothing is busy in the morning at 3am. It seems like your problem only occurs when everything is busy. Your exchange / Your DSLAM port/ the network.
