There seems to have been a fault this afternoon, as there was an increase in support queries.

Engineers are attending. We apologise for the inconvenience

my line is also back to normal and I think its the fastest I've seen in awhile. Normally I get about 1.68 download

Are the engineers still attending to the problem?

Things on my side are not so rock solid. (Gold - Leon edition)

I only get a download speed of:
Download Speed: 419 kbps (52.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 309 kbps (38.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 43 ms

All is working 100% on our side.

Can you please PM me your ADSL username and I will take a look for you

So i'm thinking of ordering two accounts but not sure if I go with 2x 1Mbps or 2x 2Mbps given the Telkom upgrades coming or not lol. What do you suggest given current specials? :-/ If i order 2x 2Mbps could i downgrade which ever/both end of next month pending upgrade?
 
Can't log on. Seem to be having Authentication Failures.
Had to switch back to my WebAfrica backup account.

I am having the weirdest of weird problems. (Took me quite some time to get to the root of the problem).

I am using an Openweb Uncapped Gold account. (4mb). It has been working fine for over a year now.

I noticed today whilst playing online games (dota 2 and Team Fortress 2) that my ping is significantly higher than normal. Normally it is between 10 - 30ms and now it is between 150 - 300ms. However, this is ONLY in online games so far. When I ping a south african webserver I get a constant 30 - 40ms ping with once every ten pings a spike to 100 - 120ms.

This problem only started today. I have tried using my Afrihost account to test if it has a similar issue (to rule out it being the ISP), however when using my Afrihost account everything is perfect (below 30ms ping).

Is there any problems which is currently being experienced on the Openweb network?

same here....pings between 400 and 960ms, at which point everything stops. Max download of .5Mb on 6Mb line with 4Mb Gold uncapped. Local looks good though. Will mail support later and see if we can get it sorted....major frustrating.
