The slowdowns could also potentially be congestion on the exchange as it is towards the end of the month, which remains prime time for the guys still on cappped accounts.

AH account running fine. Torrents going at about 120KB/s. Browsing is almost impossible though.

I agree this is ridiculous! I'm now back on my afrihost account which expires tonight!! I'm on uncapped 2mb leon gold and I can't even do a speedtest! This is worse than dialup. I wish I could cancel my account and go back to afrihost but then I got an e-mail stating that I need to give a months notice. I haven't even signed up with openweb for a month. Since I have joined I have just experiencing slow speeds. I get that they shape during the day. But seriously like I said this is worse than freaking dialup.

ok quick update here is my speedtest and tracert with afrihost

I then switched back to openweb which I must admit is doing a little bit better. I could actually do a speedtest and I can actually browse sites again.

Hop 6 causing issues for two different people. Clearly an issue somewhere. Combined with the mybroadband problems and it might be a widespread problem, perhaps?

http now limited to 70kb/s as opposed to 30kb/s earlier. Looks like heavy work hours shaping is going to be a daily thing. I guess this prioritization offerings that OW has means nothing for sub-Platinum users.

Once we have finalized matters, you guys will be the first to know.

Thanks but it seems to be working again.

Any news on the Telkom speed upgrades? Will there be a price increase? Currently on 2Mb Gold Leon Edition.

Big downloaders are moving to Openweb/Afrihost from MWEB and this is definitely not a good news for us :( Check out the Afrihost thread :( It's pretty bad there.

I'm afraid it will not last :( I have really bad feelings about the upcoming Telkom speed upgrades :( Expect to see a lot of users whining about slow speeds on myBB next month.
