2) I vaguely recall somewhere you saying that everyday after 7PM or so the networks are unshaped (might have got this wrong) and 60% of the month you are unshaped - Will this be the case for Everyday Uncapped as well?

1. Yes, we will not throttle. Browsing and similar will always run at full speed. When the network is quiet, we will unshape.

2. Unshaped periods will be when the network is quiet. Due to the higher contention, your unshape periods will be less than Gold for example.

3. It is closer to Vanilla Uncapped, but quite different, as it is a completely new service level.

10Mbs Gold Leon vs 20Mbs Everyday in terms of latency? Would I see a noticeable increase locally when the network is being hammered if I don't have the same prioritisation as Gold?
Will the 2x bandwidth allowance help with the higher contention vs Gold? or do the accounts gets shaped the same regardless of max bandwidth allowance?

Latency here is very much dependent on your location. There might be an increase or a decrease.

Why not drop me a PM for a test account then you can try it first hand.

Hey MrBEep,

SpeedTest runs at 80% of my line speed but video streaming is slow on my side. Is this shaping? Browsing is fine.

I have been complaining about this for a while now, tested on another uncapped account recently and my FNB account and it works fine. They have switched me from MTN to IS but no luck.

I unfortunately have cancelled and moving to a different provider.

Speedtest to the UK servers are 3.89mbps, so that did not identify any issues, downloads fly as well. It is only streaming that is suffering.

It is odd that Streaming is suffering because this account is geared towards all day Skype. I could fire up a download now and it will run at 80kbps but just the streaming that is being messed up since Monday.

im on the 4meg standard uncapped but im having endless trubles in the day i cant even get on 90% of https sites and if i try to download something it just do about 1 meg and completely stop.
but in the evening everything is fine and on youtube the video does not even load. most sites does not want to load. but as soon as i use afrihost everything is fine

Streaming is not currently shaped as the network is not THAT busy.

as far as i know,its not sharped,just prioritized on gold,and the other acc dont prioritize streaming

but i can be wrong
 
struggling with throughput. all green but connection is up and down like a roller coaster. browsing will be available but then nntp is at 0. frustrating night.
