I've had my fair share of problems with OW...

Comparing a shaped uncapped account to a capped account is hardly fair though.

Might not be fair but it does rule out a line fault.
 
My torrents are "dead" and is they are searching for connections, not downloading a thing.

I could stream during the day on 2Mb gold. My issue is that my 4Mb line only syncs at 2.7Mb, so there is no way that I'm paying the additional cost for a few KBs bandwidth extra...
 
It will be great if Openweb can offer us 3Mb accounts as many people can't sync at 4mb....
 
This is certainly something we will consider!

Our 6Mbps accounts were surprisingly popular!

Hey MrBEEP,

Are Steam downloads from the IS server shaped during the day? If so, to the ground or will they still move on Gold Leon accounts?

Well IS has their own server, so its possible that it might be OK. Not sure why you'd want to pay a premium to run steam during the day though?!? Just start the d/l when going to bed.
 
I agree with any p2p etc during the day, but not able to open google or sync my save games in steam is a real problem, service is excellent for anything during 18:00 to 8:00,getting 400kb/s solid on my 4mb gamers account. any thing during the day is non functiona, litteraly slower than 56K
 
I think you misunderstood.
I already have a gold level account, I'd just like to know if downloads from the IS server would be shaped as much as normal downloads during the day.
 
@MrBEEP, I am on your Silver Uncapped 2Mb special, and wish to change to the Everyday Uncapped 4Mb special. How do I go about this? I understand there is a 30 day notice period, etc. but obviously we wish to take advantage of the newly upgraded line as soon as possible (more money for you).

Have you closed all your P2P apps for daytime account use? The OW shaper is broken in that it shapes your whole connection if you have ANY P2P going. The shaper apparently refreshes every hour or so. I've noticed a marked improvement in account performance during office hours about 20min after I shut down all P2P apps.

Note: Shutdown!=pause or slow down on your side...
 
YAY, just would like to say JOB WELL DONE! once more for OW....

I noticed that my line upgrade took place, which was a surprise as I thought the OneMeggers will only be next year.

I quickly sent a mail, and last correspondence was at 22:56 with confirmation and new details for my new account.
