I think I had the same issue then. after a day of emails with support they put me on the MTN network and told me to monitor and report back performance. On Gold Orange

Then I decided that I could afford the Gold account with a bump in line speed and requested a upgrade since then this problem has existed. So I would be inclined to say that maybe my Exchange can't handle the increase or that it is congested yet tracert shows good times and Telkoms own speed test shows full line speed. Any international traffic and to some extent local traffic is near impossible to use.

I was on leon (or easter edition) gold but upgraded to normal (orange ) gold

both had the same issues, i only found out now that there is an "original" gold account too. Does that have no issues? I don't know but I won't be around to find out. My friend on their silver can stream youtube hd at peak when I am shaped to death, he can browse at full speed. I can't say that gold offers me youtube sd... i get 240p now and my account is working better than it worked in weeks.

2mb Gold Leon, can't stream 64kbps radio stream without constant hickups..

Everything is super slow..

Getting really tired of constantly having to message MrBeep, re-route this, new account details that, every other day.. Getting me down..

Cool for a bit, then awful, ..or completely dead.
 
:lol: I seem to have gone full circle... I was on Mweb and I did not like the way they changed their ToS so I left and joined OpenWeb. Now with all my issues I seem to have gone back onto the Mweb network in a sense. I am now connected through Tiscali and not IS so it would seem that IS is shaping us to hell and gone and not OpenWeb? I just find it funny how I have gone back to where I left... :lol: Oh I should note that everything is running 100% I am just scared by the comments of previous posts how long will this last I wonder? Time to start hunting trial accounts and testing them out... :/
 
my youtube stream but just unstable
like 400 then 0 thne 300 thne 450 then 0
so it goes like that the whole time
its really rare that is stays at one spot
but in the end i can stream 480p with out any probs at all
and even 720 runs smooth even tho my netlimiter( i use it to monitor my bandwith) shows it like that

but as long as it stream its all good :)

Having same issues, might be a fault somewhere? Had to switch to a capped account again to get some stuff done.

This is due to YouTube's Dash playback system which downloads in chunks and not one big file.

2 words... SLOW INTERNET causing the problem. Come now man, I wanna play Strike Suit Zero (via Steam!)
 
I've been on this MTN account for a few hours now and it maxed my line streaming and on Steam. Latency is kinda high locally but eh 32Ms to CPT is fine.
 
Heh well the wife is stress testing the new account details with Netflix and the cake boss. Pretty sure I will hear some moaning if it stops working :P.
 
Line virtually dead now, mail won't even come through.
