Kindly drop me a PM so that we can move you back to the IS network.

Thanks but no thanks... will need some sort of internet during office hours... that IS was dead last week.

Will see if the non IS account's speed-limit improves during the week, at least I can browse and email on it between 9AM and 5PM.

Would you prefer to have us prioritise speedtest? This will make our lives alot easier.

We just thought it would not be good to give you false results, but it seems like this is what you are requesting?

Not the point MrBeep, I was meerly commenting on dcsmax getting faster results on speedtest then on downloads. So you're contradict yourself.

The thing is, I don't want speedtest to get priority over anything, I just don't understand how you can de-prioritise it when all it is, is basic http packets that's being sent to and from your computer. It is exactly the same as browsing any other website on the internet.

Because people use httpto bypass shaping.

Not been happy with the service since we opened an account with Openweb. Slow slow slow. I can't work during the week as I cant even get into my email... and no the slowness is not caused by Telkom. Telkom was here yesterday and nothing wrong with the line.... I have missed out on a lot of work because of this.... Have had to also download message for work so I could do something 150mb gone just like that

Hi,

I'm on the gold 1Mb line for the past 8 months and it has been brilliant. For the past two weeks it has been painful with no access at times and deathly slow http speeds with no torrents running. I am sure I have been badly shaped, I can't get above 40kbs today. I have rebooted router many times, even had telkom reset my port twice and still no speed. Telkom gave me a test account and it was flying...so not doubt there is an issue somewhere on the OW side or via OW.

Did a tracert - any advice or help.

Worst service

What is going on at openweb ? They have worse service delivery then telkom !! I have been trying to get answers to my slow internet access now for more then 2 weeks and still haven't heard a word from openweb ! Phoning them doesn't seem to work , messaging them doesn't work . So how does one get service from them ?

Mr. Beep, my OW account just died about 5 minutes ago :( I mean it doesn't authenticate anymore. Now I'm using my Afrihost free 1gb account now.

I think that my OW account is faulty for some reasons :(

Not good :( I have switched back to OW and I'm still getting slow speeds :( My Afrihost account (Free) is working perfectly.

My sincere thoughts go out to those experiencing problems. Non-working internet is one of the most exasperating things there are IMO. I hope you get it sorted asap.

In the mean time, everything going swimmingly here. :)

+1. My internet has been running like a demon all weekend so far.
