Anyone experiencing DNS issues? On OW switched to google DNS and seems to working and at full speed again
 
If this is a local speedtest, your latency is very high which generally points to a congested exchange issue over at Telkom

MrBEEP, does contention ratios come into play on the Freedom Capped Unshaped packages?. It says on the website that it is unshaped 24/7 but what about the contention ratios? I'm thinking of going capped unshaped instead of uncapped shaped.
 
Something not right here. International is very slow. Streaming terrible.

Tracert and router stats look ok. Something else is going on.

Just 12 more days of openweb and I will be free!

last 3 days from 10pm onward browsing and everything else takes a massive hit. It is like it takes a minute or two to receive my request to load a webpage etc etc

If it starts loading (I say if because timeouts are the norm) it seems to load at a decent speed.

Coming from mweb where I had the occasional week of problems, where I now have a weekly problem I must say mweb seems better (though i left months before their throttling started so I don't know atm)
 
Just popped in to say that my 10mb Gamer King account has been performing beautifully. It was almost unshaped all the way through the holidays, and I must say as much as I expected things to slow down once the work year started, it hardly has! Shaping has been very light, Netflix / Hulu is giving me a solid 720p (even in the middle of a working day), gaming is great, and downloads are pulling nicely.

I'm sorry to see others having trouble, but I thought I'd better at least show that not ALL the accounts have problems. People generally come here when there is a problem, but happy users usually keep quiet.

There seems to have been a glitch last night.

I can pick it up on the stats, but all is sorted now.

As the only capped user in this thread, I always feel left out of your well wishes. They really feel directed towards the uncapped users.

I'd appreciate some acknowledgement as well, MrBEEP...

MrBEEP, another potential product to consider, the same idea as previously mentioned about having a "turbo mode" additional extra that gives you full unshaped for an hour or two, but will also give you your full line speed, so if I am on Gold 2mb uncapped account (but I have a 4mb line) I can enable this option when I need to urgently get something downloaded. Not sure the technical feasibility but it's something I would buy as an add on without hesitation, giving me the best of both worlds
 
So after upgrading my gamers king account to 2Mbps, I've been checking it out and its performing considerably slower than my old 1MB account. Something that got my attention was my old account was @openweb.co.za and my new account is @mynetwork.co.za. Could this have something to do with it?
