I strongly, and when I say strongly, I mean strongly doubt the fault is on the account side.

The network has been completely unshaped the entire weekend. I personally use accounts in all parts of the country where we have test boxes, and they did not miss a beat for a second.

I'm afraid to say however that unless you have Telkom resolve the root cause of your issue, you will forever exhibit a sad face on the forum.

I can also assure you that after some use of your alternate ISP account, your sad face will more than likely be pasted on their forum as well.

My AH account's running at full speed but my OW one is unusable :( IS sucks!

Goodmorning Friends,

I trust your Monday will be pleasant and productive :)

Ok so from the 1st Feb lets hope

1. The OW gold accounts are usable during the day for browsing in CT........this would be a good start.
2. Authentication issues are a thing of the past and i can keep the same account for at least a month.

Don't they actually have to "upgrade" the IPC first before one would see relaxing of shaping? If yes, then, AFAIK, this can't happen overnight, anyway, this IPC price cut isn't exactly a secret surprise, and hopefully ISP's have already placed their orders long ago, in which case, yes, then we should expect better shaping from the first.

I would need to manage expectations here.

The total effective increase is 10%. This is not an awful lot and will probably be absorbed within 5 seconds of going live.

We have planned in advance yes :)

I agree, 10% is nothing when there is a 100% increase in speed!

Telscum is cutting prices by 10%, when you include last year's 5% drop you get 15%.

10% isn't much, it will have a slight impact but everyone will gobble up that extra few % quicker than I can boot my PC.

More you push into the pipe, more it gets used.

Sigh

Hey, TelkomZA on Twitter gave me a test account and it's running perfectly... well, only video streaming sites are pretty slow.

On the contrary, my OW account's barely working :( EDIT: AH and IS-based accounts are not running at full speed on all protocols.

What's up with that? :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I have been connected to your account since 11am this morning and it is running well so far.

Will keep you updated if I run into issues so that we can further troubleshoot
