The fault is not on the account side.

I have investigated it thoroughly.

I can move you to a different network? Each network uses different routing which could assist

Hi Keoma

Can you move my account to SAIX so i can try that

tx

You guys know that OpenWeb is just like one person right? So, he does all the support.

What? What? So you saying that Keoma has multiple personalty disorder? and can change the sound of his voice on the phone? :wtf:

My uncapped standard is not working great today, can browse most websites but have trouble with some (can't even perform a speedtest, international/local)

Hey Friends,

There is currently a fault on the upstream providers side.

Engineers are attending. We are expecting a resolution by latest 17:30.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

I have been following this thread for some time and is now in the market for a new ISP. From my understanding, Openweb offers accounts on various backbones or something? And that you can change from one backbone to another by sending an e-mail?

Can someone please post a breakdown of all the backbones currently available with Openweb and which is best for which? And perhaps post a trace route for each?

Basically I need a low ping for online gaming and then I also download torrents. From what I understand, the gold uncapped service is suitable for this?

Thx

Hey MrBeep, any news on the upstream problems with IS? I'm stugling to get more than 50kB/s on a single thread... youtube not working :(

Hi agent

There seems to still be an issue. Things have improved drastically though since this afternoon, which is good news

My downloads today are going well on HTTP (100 - 107kb/s). My p2p downloads (torrents) are going at 0.5 - 7kb/s. I got a 1mbps ADSL Line. Is the upstream problem affecting p2p that badly?

Sigh... I hope it picks up tomorrow, or it looks like it is time for another backbone change. I was enjoying this account :/

I was with IS until about two days ago and I couldn't for the life of me get torrents to run decently for the last week or so. Think something is seriously borked on the IS backbone.

Good morning

Cant seem to connect this morning. Is it just me, or anyone else experiencing this too?

Hi Yster,

If you experience a problem, we can move you to a different backbone.

Our default backbone, IS, is the best overall for latency.
