I must say I'm amazed at how well the network is running now. I had a bunch of old files I needed to download - and while I usually avoid torrents like the plague - I'm steaming ahead at full line speed the whole weekend.

Awesomeness.

That's because weekends are unshaped.

Hey Friends,

I am happy to hear the positive feedback! We have worked very hard to create the perfect network, and I believe we are not far off!

This month alone we have signed up MANY new clients from other ISP's offering an inferior service. Our aim is to offer the most superior ADSL network on the continent!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday downloads!

Kind regards

Hehe, well now, I wonder which ISP in particular that is ;)

My experience with Openweb for the last few weeks has been exactly the opposite of the above. It's been terribly slow and including off peak times (when I'm supposed to get access to faster speeds). It's been useless for FB, mail, voip - you name it, all compromised. I finally captured a whole lot of screenshots and sent off to support but no news of improvements from them in the last 8.5 hours.

Fortunately I have a backup account with another well known provider which provides welcome relief.

Possibly a few too many without increasing bandwidth - maybe that explains the sudden plunge in speeds since early October

Hi entrepr,

This is definitely not an account or network related issue.

The network is well below capacity.

Kindly email me: [email protected] so that I can investigate.

As per my previous post, the network is WELL below capacity, and this is how we intend on keeping it.

Overselling a network is not an option.

Well, most of us here have noticed considerable increases in speed from Openweb for the last month or so. IS took a major nosedive when Afrihost relaunched their uncapped, and when they moved to MTN the IS network started getting good again.

Haven't had a complaint about my IS account in ages. Even daytime speeds are great.

Openweb now is the time to shine! don't let us down like Afrihost did please or most of us will jump from a bridge.

You are the only ISP left we can trust, MWEB i'll never return back as the customer service is ****, don't have a problem with Webafrica either just it's abit expensive.

Shirou ek glo jou probleme sal opgelos wees met openweb. Ek het bitter min probleme met latency en spoed. Die naweek was nou nie so great met latency nie maar ek dink Telkom het nog probleme gehad. For the Legion!

Dis great om te hoor Rohan, ja ek maak reeds planne om oor te skuif, nou moeg van Afrihost se probleme, en ja For the Legion ;)

Hi Shirou,

We will try our very best to be the best!

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

I am now a proud Openwebber, welcome back 167ms i missed you.

I've moved back to OW after some time with Mweb & Afrihost. Getting November free was a nice present :)

So far, the IS news server is chugging along nicely. I don't think that ever gets shaped though? Standard 1Mb Uncapped.

4MB Uncapped Gold

Its been a week now of solid, fast speed both day and night.

Made of Awesome.
