Mr Beep, I want to upgrade to Do3 (5GB) this month, but if your 384 uncapped is reasonable I'll drop TI like a ton of bricks.

So far so good. I have further details on the products that will be offered:
384k Uncapped:
Daytime speeds will be 64k. (We are aware of the fact that this is a tad on the slow side, but we will monitor the network, and increase this speed as the network grows)
After Hour Speeds: 19:00pm until 07:00am, Monday to Friday, and 19:00pm Friday until 07:00am Monday speeds will be at 384k.
After Hour Benefits: The account will run at the full 384k speed, on the Seacom cable, allowing P2P and torrents. It will be EXCELLENT for gaming and VOIP applications.
Estimated Price: R599 per month incl VAT
384k - 10GB ADSL Account:
This account will run at full 384k speeds, irrelevant of time and day. The account will be mildly shaped during office hours, and completely unshaped after hours and on weekends. P2P and torrents will be allowed.
Estimated price: R349 per month incl VAT
Status Update: We are waiting for Telkom to install the last part of the network. Per usual, they are still playing the delaying game. However, they have indicated that it will be fully installed by no later than end August. I will keep folks updated as to whether they continue engaging in their anti-competitive behaviour.
These products will be exclusive to OpenWeb.

Looks good... R600 for uncapped 384, that is a great offer.
If that offtime speed gets increased to 128 then it will be really good.

It was always quoted as "around R599"- leaving hope that it could in fact be less than this.
This was supposed to be a 24/7 384k uncapped solution too, not some half baked 64k during the day thing.
Ahh well, as you have been saying, someone has to come out with something good post Seacom sometime. This just isn't it.
The uncapped 64k during the day is NOT cool man, I'm often at home during the day and that would really suck, also - 7pm is a bit late don't you think? You should be doing 6pm-6am(7am really) and 128k at least during the day.
Some of us actually need to surf during the day.

I'm actually disappointed in Openweb! 384k throttled to 64k during the day for R600! Keoma, it should be no less than 512k or 1Meg at that price with no throttling at all! I do not see the logic of any throttling!

The honest reality is that business takes preference during business hours. If you need a fast line for business then this is not the product for you. For home use, you can get a 1 Gig prepaid or account package to use during business hours.
