Anyone else having trouble with news servers (astraweb) on DSL heaven tonight? Mine going at a max of 15KB/s on 1mbps line

International browsing on VB has reached an all-time low. Takes forever just to open an international page...if it opens at all.
Yeah mine's a little sluggish too. (1Mb VB Gold)
I can get fullspeed on ftp, but only with several connections.
Still waiting for my account to be activated.. but from your comment I assume it's just another upstream provider. How many are there? I'm on a trial account at the moment that runs on BCSNET

Openweb has access to plenty.
dsl heaven is webafrica. There's about 5 or 6 others. I think they're only available on GOLD though.

Guys having an issue with vodacom, my pings in the last two days locally have been over 200MS, SGS which is telkom is low but the rest are all high.
I connect to my axxess account and bam working again.

Probably is a GOLD thing, my username is @openweb.co.za and it's an IS based account. So far so good though, but through all my ISP/connection hopping I find it's mainly the 4MB and up connections that ISP's find difficult to keep at max speed constantly.
Same with me. VB has been relatively fine on speed but latency is not good. Pings has been high the last few evenings.

Yup got no issues with my downloads or browsing but playing bf 3 is virtually impossible. Kuk lag on sgs with an 11 ping any other server 180+ ping. What i don't get is why sgs has a ping of 11 but mweb a ping of 186.

Strangely, pings on my account seem to be pretty normal. It's just international browsing speed that seems to have taken a nosedive.
Not sure I want to log a fault report, though. Too scared I might get assigned another account. VB is hands down the best OpenWeb has to offer.

I am on IS and also have some lag on BF3, but it is OK at this stage.

The lag is not my issue, at the moment the lag is crazy on all servers, 32 and 64. My issue is the damn ping, i can handle some BS lag caused by EA updating servers or servers that have 30 instances of the game but a 250-400MS local is bad locally for bf 3

All local pings 300ms and timing out except sgs which is 11 ms
mrbeep please respond man!!!!!!!! i will need to send an email. It's not the biggest issue as i can use my axxess account but still there is something busted
