Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

My IS is basically dead...been problematic for a while now. They did a port reset which seemed to open it up again, but it appears if the line is heavily throttled during business hours. Will wait and see what they say, mailed them nearly an hour ago

My IS account (Gold) is weird today. Speeds are looking like a sinusoidal wave....

I emailed support yesterday due to my IS gold being critically throttled and received no response

Sent another mail this morning, let's see if that one gets a response. At this rate I don't see myself being with OpenWeb past this month, which is a pity really.

Mine is also on gold. Also still waiting for feedback. Perhaps they have been flooded by others also with the same issue?

I was told that IS is better (it was changed apparently). Was fine the last two days but today it's wonky.

Hey Hey

My IS (gold) is perfect! Full speed, 24/7. I have zero problems. I am on 384 in Plumstead Cape Town.

I was on IS (Gold) almost 24/7 when I had 384. It ran pretty much like unshaped. You can't really shape it without squeezing the life out of it. I almost miss my 384 line :p

Killa, I don't use the dsl heaven smtp, I think I use mail.openweb.co.za. I'm still at work but can check for you once I'm home at 2pm.

i am also struggling with email on dslheaven. "cannot find email server"

Yep, i'm also on another backup account.

Just crazy that I have to pay for a backup account and use it every month.

Hopefully they are not dodging us

Anyone else having problems with DSL Heaven? Or is it just me?

My DSLH has been useless for the past 3 days. I've emailed support 4 times.. and apparently my direct response (2 direct responses) to them "werent received", got some shpiel about them always closing tickets within 3 hours.. and 3.5 hours ago i asked them to please swap me to a new provider because DSLH is unusable (emailed them about half an hour ago to ask for an update). Using a backup account now (OW Silver - BCSNet) and everything is fine on that.

Am I the only one who's emails to support seem to go missing? I run my business off sending emails back and forward all day and I don't ever have this issue with anyone else.

What is so difficult about setting up an auto-responder or at least using a ticketing system??? So we know if it's been received or not.

Not impressed @ all.

:( @ blunt

I can't remember any of my "please fix now" emails going missing.
This weekend MrBeep was unavailable, maybe he's otherwise preoccupied?

@ froot - ok; I have sent them another mail now from my Google Apps email account rather.. let's see how that pans out.

Seems it's a latency problem. I am getting good download speed but latencies are horrible. How is VB running lately?

For interests sake... checking my servers mail log

First email they claimed they never received:

second email they claimed they never received...
