Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

I can barely open any international page speedtest wont open, must be IS with over throttling again.:sick:
 
Hey Friends,

There is currently a backbone fault causing slow speeds. Engineers are attending,.

Same. On DSL-H. Anyone notice that it happens at specific times? Right now I have 20-30% packet loss. As soon as it hit 7pm it goes down to 0%
 
my international download during the day is between 0KBps and 20KBps (local is not much better, on newsgroups I get between 0 - 20 on local servers and int servers). At night I get my 4mb line back, but not 100% of the time, it dips to 0, then goes back up (this is local) - on international I cannot stream a youtube video (day or night... wth)???

This just started recently - I was told its a problem with the backbone, but why does local speed up so much at night (albeit not consistently)? Has the contention ratio on these packages changed?

I havent changed my download pattern, I def do under 150gb a month (prob around 30gb to 70gb) which for a 4mb line is not excessive... any help?

EDIT:

Took about 20 seconds to load up this edit page at this time of night - and just got a connection error on that speedtest link...

This is not a post against openweb, Keoma is the most helpful guy ever and the support is fantastic, but wow Im getting frustrated

I can't complain, everything going like a boeing on my side.
 
I am still getting full speed on news servers...no matter what time of day. Latency is not good for gaming though. (DSL Heaven)
Other than that I am happy.

Mmmm, might need to check out IS Gold accounts with the new profile in the forseeable future at some stage if my DSL-H account underperfroms ;)
 
Still loving my dsl-h account. I don't always get full speed on nntp like I used to with my VB account, but its a lot more balanced. Still get between 300-400Kbps on nntp, but I can also watch YouTube in HD, do torrents (if I ever need to) and http downloads are excellent too.

Same here, wouldn't trade my DSL-H account for anything else :)
 
Been getting "authentication fail" since this AM, no reply by email yet and turning off router for 15min+ has no effect :/

So basically I got the standard 1mb uncapped at a special for R169. Pretty impressive although p2p is shaped to death youtube hd works with no buffering at all. BCS backbone.

I wonder if there is any way to check usage on the account. I know its uncapped but just for interest sake.

Our usagestats for this service is not yet ready, as explained in a different thread.

I can however move you to a network that allows individual stats to be emailed to you?
