Same as mine that just RROD ...

My manufacturer date is July 2007
 
Did Zepher/Xenon ever come with HDMI?
 
\:D/ Thanks to Juice and his inside insiders on the inside, my new Xbox is being dispatched on Monday. \:D/

I still have to manage through the weekend without it, though. :(
 
Just got my replacement now.

About 3 weeks of countless emails, phonecalls and faxes.

My old one had a mfr date of 2008 something but the new one has a mfr date of 2007/11/08! :( AND IT SMELLS LIKE FACKING ROOIBOS TEA.

also has a few marks on it :(

**** you MID & MS, I looked after my old console and now I get this pos. Will never buy another MS console in my life.

Now THAT'S what I was afraid ... apart from the wait, I'm worried about get an old unit :/ Hence I thought about a new bundle and selling the replacement.

But then I've spent R3999.00 x 2 on MS consoles within 2 years.
 
just faxed my papers through, Incredible faxed me a PoP , mine was faded, spoke to an african lady at MID got her fax number faxed it through, so now it's the waiting game, my MFD on my machine was 2007/12 . Hope I get a later non RROD prone machine back, do they drop off same time they pick up?

DUDE! no seriously....WTF! I will NEVER ever EVER accept something like this.

Phone them and tell them...

a.) The pos you just recieved is an older model than the one you had.
b.) It has markes and yours was brand new condition
c.) It smells like fsuking tea!

Tell them you want a NEW one and you'll give the pos to the courier when he drops the NEW one.

Problem is I was out when the courier came.. Really feel like giving them a call but then I will have to wait another ****ing month.

Well tell them (in a very affirmate voice tone) that you want it sorted out ASAP or your money back. This **** service must come to an end. If they ever send me something like this I'll buy a damn plane ticket, fly there, and give them 4 sorts of hell.
 
ja, looks like you got a raw deal there brawler. i did not know that they have progressed to the stage of handing out refurbs. next time one of my xbox's dies maestro_za will be getting some business from me

They always do, that's why you only get a 3 month warrenty on the repaired one. :eek:
 
and thats not the worst of it. Just plugged it in and immediately noticed something funny. During the xbox vid when you boot the console the audio went off half way through. Now all of my games have a pause in the audio every 5sec!
 
i would highly suggest you block the fans in the back. Or keep it in a plastic box. Do it for a few days and let it rrod again. That box is gonna die soon

Good idea but that does not resolve the waiting forever for replacement problem.

Nope they dnt charge the board just the cpu or gpu if its busted ! remember the opus 360's that some people are getting as swopouts are original bricked xenons but with the 65nm faclon processor, thus it has an old board with a new chip, same with the falcons and zephyrs (if it fails they'll probably just replace the cpu with one from the newer jaspers or the gpu if its giving e74 errors)
