I am on the telkom 1mb free promo at the mo, and I only have praise for the service, so Im a little nervous jumping on the Mweb wagon. The closer 2 has already been changed to Closer 1, why do I have this you ask, it because I did not have a line to my house, and this service, now at R12 per month, got the line installed for free :D

You must be the first person I know that is hesitant about moving away from Telkom

well if cash isn't the overriding consideration here, then obviously Option B
 
Haha, yeah, im just as shocked. But, for the last 2 months I have had solid speedtests at around 104mBps and great pings on BF3. Last night I forgot to pause SABnzbd and still played BF3 without any lag.

I'd say stay with Telkom to be honest. Probably the most stable ISP as well. If Telkom goes down, then EVERYONE goes down.
 
If money isn't an issue go for openweb gold 1mbps or option b

I've also heard that the Telkom uncapped is pretty decent.
Been on Mweb uncapped for a month now and it's amazing to say the least.
As to 1Mb vs 4Mb.... money money money. That's the only worthwhile difference. Oh, and the 3Mbps in speed. Latency is pretty much the same in gaming.
 
Have you checked out Afrihost's deals? 4Mbps line rental is R399, and 4Mbps uncapped at R397. That's R796 altogether, and so far Afrihost uncapped 4Mbps has been getting good ratings. Maybe consider ...

Sposed may not be in the oxford dictionary at the moment, but you wait, in 10 years time you will be trying to remember who that visionary person on myBB was :p

On topic tho(ugh) I went with the 1mb Mweb uncapped, cant say im not happy, 4 mb would be kiff tho, 200kB for the DL and 100 for the browsing. YINGyang

Do option B then phone 10210 and dsl technical support then ask them to upgrade your speed to 10mb, will be done for free that is if u selected the fastest option on Telkom line rental! It's a big saver considering u don't have to select mwebs 10mb option
 
Mweb also has 1 meg accounts for cheaper that telkoms one.
