Ordered - https://za.ecoflow.com/

I am very concerned about local support and getting accessories or swapping/replacing batteries etc. and warranty returns.
They seem to sell these units & accessories everywhere .

I'll ask about support when I get time, but I don't see any issues with accessories

These EcoFlow units are pretty cool, friend of mine has the Delta. Although expensive, the portability means they can double up as a camping battery solution etc. Thinking of getting one myself for that reason.

They have local service centres, my money is on Rectron as that is where is was originally going to get mine but stock depleted. It was also R500 cheaper and has local plugs.

... and the app.

Would be cool if it connected to Alexa or IFTTT or something

So we get no warranty ?

I think had I known about Rectron, I'd have spent R500.00 more for ZA plugs

We do have warranty 2 years with local service centres. The plugs are not a problem for me and just need an adapter. There was no ETA at Rectron at the time and working from home went direct. This stage 6 - 8 bull**** I could not continue.

Currently on board to 3rd party courier (Skynet in my case), once received we can make arrangements directly with whoever the third party courier is and collect if you don't want to wait.

2 hours waiting on hold with Buffalo and started at client number 473 :0. So crazy!

Should be EcoFlowing in no time!

I think mine arrived today.

I’m not in to check but I’m not expecting anything else

Ok I have mine … nice little unit. Charged up and ready to try.

App is great and done my warranty registration via it.

The one thing that was weird was that it didn’t charge at all - until I plugged something into AC . Now it works all the time

Give us a mini review after your first load-shedding

Stock is being held locally.

Buffalo updated: You will receive the package between Dec,24 and Dec,31

Do you know if the EcoFlow River Max is in stock locally? and the 160w solar panel?

(Not sure if you have a contact/work for EcoFlow :))

Are you planning to leave it permanently plugged in so that you get an automated UPS cutover experience?
