What will you guys do that have the beta installed? Will you do a clean reinstall?

Or an update? Will an update be allowed?

Clicked on the download and it said that I already have it installed.

Hoping that there will be one more final update to this beta. It just seems a little unpolished right now. Especially the startup procedure.

Not keen to download the 6GB if it's going to be the same thing that I'm running now. Hopeful of that update.

Anyone figure out how to download with Beta installed? I'm keen to do a fresh install of the production release.

I downloaded Yosemite on my Mac Mini which still had Mavericks on it. You are welcome to get a copy from me if you are in the Centurion area.

That would be awesome! Let me know when suits. We can meet at the Wimpy again same as last time if that's cool.

From when is The Wimpy the hangout for dodgy deals? :D

On another topic. Anyone tested AdobE CC with Yosemite? Or discovered any problems yet?

Upgrading to a MBP next week :)

Going to be sad to let go of my MBA though, this is a beauty of a laptop.

Will do a nice clean Yosemite install.

For the guys on public beta: I downloaded Yosemite from AppStore, double clicked and installed over the public beta. Although a ton of other updates (iTunes, 1Password, Keynote etc) came in before that, I noticed now after the AppStore install that a number of extra updates (printer drivers) are coming in. Not sure if those were just published or got triggered as part of the AppStore install.

Note: I forgot to make a copy of the Yosemite installer and need to redownload now to make the bootable USB stick for recovery purposes. So hopefully you will remember that if you plan on making a USB stick.

I always do a fresh clean install and then restore from Time Machine backup just to be safe :D

Yes as was mentioned, after the download, cancel the install so you can grab the DMG file and keep it for later incase you need to do a fresh install ect without the need to download the file again!

Might I propose that this thread's title is updated to 'OS X Yosemite'?

Loving Yosemite so far, cannot fault it. The fonts, icons and general UI/UX are all superb. Then again I expect it from Apple. ;)

Seems a little pointless to do a fresh install and then recover it to exactly what it was before via Time Machine.

Now if you copied all your data over manually and installed it all from scratch that would be a clean install to me.

Apple's migration tools are so good that I've never ever needed a clean install in over 12 years across 200+ Macs.
