That's why I prefer the public beta. No issues so far - everything works and with the latest release of iStats the dark-theme really looks nice.

I actually had this quite often with Mavericks and my MBP works perfectly on Yosemite, but almost one year on Mavericks with this bug and the MBP has no other issue than this so don't worry !

ill live with it for now and hope update comes soon and sorts this out

Didn't even realize the DP is continuing alongside the Public Beta.

I assumed one replaces the other so just updated to it.

The fact that Safari doesn't jump to the address bar when opening a new tab is pissing me off though.

That's strange. Mine jumps to the address bar. Safari has stopped crashing. Developer Preview 5 is a whole more stable than the previous releases.

Any hints as to when Yosemite is coming out? I'm guessing next month when the iPhone 6 gets announced it will come with iOS 8 and hopefully Yosemite will launch a long alongside it.

But the again the previews' bugs should have start clearing up if they want to launch within the next month or so

well normally late Monday. I normally check updates around 9pm and then there is. Todays release should be pretty good and stable version and same with iOS.

I have found in past second to last beta is more stable and smoother.

I have signed up for the beta. How will it work when the full version comes out? Will upgrading be smooth?

should be 100% smooth. I updated to the beta and everything stayed in place and worked 100%.

If do OTA update will work fine.

Okay so I just loaded Yosemite on my new replacement Mac, but I don't know if it's running the latest version of the beta. There are no updates regarding OSX in the Appstore other than an update to the Feedback Assistant and iTunes.

Here is my system report:

System Version: OS X 10.10 (14A299l)
Kernel Version: Darwin 14.0.0
Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
Boot Mode: Normal

P.S. I am running the public preview and not the developer preview.

Okay, so I think I am on the latest version for the public beta. Thanks :)
