OS X Yosemite - Developer Preview 3

VLC still keeps crashing even though I downloaded Yosemite from the App Store. Boot time is a minute and 20 seconds. Better than 2 mins with the beta version. Still can't figure out why it takes 3 times the duration to boot up compared to Mavericks.

VLC works fine my side. Recommend running fix permissions. Sometimes an upgrade causes a few permission problems.
 
I have had problems with something in Yosemite on my MacBook Pro. When I compose and send an email in mail, I no longer get the sound of a jet plane as the message is sent. Yes, it is a big deal - I like to be able to hear if the message has been sent successfully. It was working fine with Mavericks.

I have been in system prefs, and both audio levels have been set right up, and sound card is correctly selected. I get other audio coming through the speakers....it is just mail that has no audio notifications

Anyone fixed this ?

Mine still works.
 
I installed Yosemite from the Mac App Store over a week ago. I saw the update earlier on today. Not going to bother updating.

So I'm getting all the developer builds in app store, is that a good thing or bad thing?
Am I on different version to the one you can download in the store?

You can change this in the update settings:

osxupdates.jpg

(And yes, I know my email address is there, but why do I care)
 
New problem today, macbook goes to sleep/standby after 10min but when it press any key screen comes on BUT no mouse movement, completely frozen.

FUUUUCK this is so frustrating. My screen doesn't even come on. This is the third time now since I've started paying attention.

I have to hold the power button down.

What year model? I haven't had a problem yet on my 2010MBP.
