Paradox IP150 configuration issue

for PAI to work you can't update the IP150.
I also used Eagle Eye for ages... then started having issuer, then wanted to extend capabilities... leading me to PAI... and HA.

I have exactly the same issue. I've given up trying to update that thing!
What is PAI?
Drives me nuts and the installers don't know how to fix it.

If you're coming from an old IP150 firmware version, you need to upgrade to 4.1 first, then update to a newer one. Also need to use older sofware. I have everything you'll need up there though.
Just remember, newer versions of IP150 firmware lose functionality - i.e. the web bits get progressively more useless, and finally completely removed in the latest one.
Not a huge loss though, and still works fine with either PAI (in Home Asssistant), or with Insite Gold.

Mine came right after a day.
Would just say updating, then the next day it actually went updating and had a progress bar etc and finished.
Thanks, the issue is that I have the IP150+ module that I bought recently that is on firmware 5.05.008 and needs to upgrade to 5.6.14. These versions are newer than the ones on your server and it looks like they can only be upgraded using the Paradox App.
Thanks, I'll keep trying. This app seems seriously flaky - it keeps telling me I need to upgrade, then downloads and tells me everything is great, except that when I go back in I have the old version and it goes back to the "you need to upgrade" message.

Nice collection.
Whats infield and Paradox ip used for? infield is an installer but at the same time, doesn't babyware do the same?

My insite gold work with the 5.x on there. Is yours prompting to update? Thats weird.
I think it might be that I have the newer IP150+ module, not the standard IP150.

I uploaded instructions for updating. You need to use specific versions of their software (strangely enough can be found on my site
)Updates are bootloader dependent, so need to update those with Infield.

Means its being managed by swan. Try Connect via internet (2nd tab), to update.
Swan is basically their web site + crapplet.

I used to have Swan. Now I use PAI and HA . Much better in a lot of ways.
I upgraded my IP150 in the last few weeks and HAI is fine. Saw a few comments back you couldnt upgrade the IP150

depending on the research you do, some say you can upgrade, others say you cant. and there have since been alot of updates on the SWAN server/paradox side which means its a bit unreliable (the research) at this stage.
Seems like a alot of frustration going around though as the installers or alot of them no very little on this.

Paradox Alarm Integration, it's a module that sits between the IP150 and Home Assistant.
This has nothing to do with installed.
Insite gold is sh$t. I use home Assistant via PAI to interface with the IP150.
Paradox up to a certain version allows this access, but they've locked this down in newer IP150 FW, aka I can't update the IP150 FW... as it will break the PAI interface.
