PC Restarts itself even after XP logo (before desktop)

did you come right,And did you use my method,I am interested in what you have done.
Another useless post by me...Another funny thing about vista is that i am gonna try to customize the windows folder in vista to read @ZZhole..but thats for anotherday when my vista crashes.

I find it funny when i install stuff then it reads .. Copying xxx k@K from billhater...we must find the fun in playing with windows,LIfe is not always so serious,TO admins/support..be cool and we the workers will get along with you.
 
@arf9999: Does UBCD pick up external USB drives? I want to install AVG free and scan for viruses but can't seem to pick up my FLASH disk.
 
Boot up with your windows XP cd, make sure though that you have the CD-Rom as the first boot device. This you can change in the Bios, after doing that. When the CD boots up, choose recovery mode, then type in fixboot or fixmbr, then reboot the system.

Otherwise, just start using Linux systems and you won't have to worry about this sort of rubbish in the future...lol.
 
hey baron welkom to the forum, my linux buddy.its not that i am against linux but,who nowdays hear of something for free,In todays world if something is free it means there is a snake in the grass.

Which snake in the grass would that be? Linux is the most secure system on the net today along with Unix systems. It's open source Kernel is it's strength not it's weakness.

If you feel more comfortable paying for an operating system, then you can try out something like Xandros (Linux based) and Linspire (Linux Based). Which sells for approximately 500 rand compared to a Vista system of 1000 (for the basic which is useless) and 3000 for the business (which is useless too).

I've not heard of a single Linux distro hacked a week after it's release, can the same be said for the highly priced Windows?

It does on my system (UBCD uses the XP kernel so should work the same way as XP - but maybe the Plug 'n Play functionality is broken), make sure that the flash disk is inserted when you boot up. If it doesn't work, try writing the files to CD and installing from there.

A shut down/restart loop after windows starts up is usually caused by a STOP command, which in my experience relates to hardware drivers or problems with RAM.

edit: or maybe Windows is fscked...
