Peak hour high local latency

You guys are heroes. I have been dealing with this issue for so long and you guys have helped 1000x more than anyone I've dealt with. Thank you for your efforts on this <3
Only a pleasure. Seems it went back to normal now again, will monitor a bit more as, it seems up and down :)

Can confirm,

So I also added 4 targets from another FNO on the same Access Router as you, just to rule out our equipment as well
Seems only the TT Connect targets in your area are seeing the latency increases.

From what I can see on your ticket history, TTC mainly focused on making changes on your line, where they should have focused more on the exchange/backhaul side of things.

Will escalate with them in the AM once we have more dataView attachment 1894002
Wish I could say this was the first time we've had this with TTConnect.

They tend to think that a backhaul service running at 80% capacity still has 20% available.

They gave me a lot of help with things, but yeah they refused to think it was anything on their side. They pretty much kept putting the blame on CISP making me believe that Cool Ideas was not as good as they used to be 😅

I was always confused how they told me on a phone call WHILE staring at 100ms to the ONT that they were not seeing any issues.

I may be jinxing it, but are you sure nothing was fixed? My latency last night and tonight has been really stable.

Yep, seeing the same thing, however I noticed last night that all clients in your area dropped around 19:07 ish PM, then observed some packet loss around 19:23pm, but no latency impact for the evening.
I asked TT connect if they made any changes, as the drop was only for clients in your area, however no response from them to date.
I did follow up twice again today, but still no response from them. My best guess is that the drop I noticed was them fixing the problem, and for some reason they don't want to advise accordingly.

Yeah the line did drop then and at 2AM as well this morning

I struggle to believe it's completely fixed since I've had the odd night where it's fine, especially since I'm still getting the odd ping spike here and there, but very stable atm

Oh yes, that too.
Not sure whats up with the silence though.

Probably feel guilty taking almost a year to find the issue, causing trouble with me and CISP haha

Alrighty, an engineer came back to me now, advising they will provide a , Quote: "report of sorts as to what changed, if any were made in this regard" on monday, so will let you know. :)
They also advised that the 2am drop was a scheduled reboot they have every 2nd week.

Following our recent ticket, may I please suggest that your support find better solutions in the future besides asking for constant ONT tests I can barely provide. ICMP clearly worked great and provided easy information. I was on a loop with support for almost a year on this and you guys were able to help me properly and seamlessly in no time.

Thank you for the feedback, Its truly appreciated.
We will definitely take note and improve our processes where possible. :)

@CoolEscalator @PBCool Hey guys, the latency has been great since their "fix", but I've recently gotten a new problem 😅
For the past 4 days, my internet has been dropping every morning at exactly 2AM for exactly 25-30 minutes.
CISP support not much help at the moment, but they did say it's nothing on their end, and I can confirm that the ONT is flashing red when it drops.

Not too impactful considering the hour, but it is a strange new issue, any ideas?

Edit: CISP support was going on about my latency and everything being fine, completely missing the point, seems like a common occurrence.

Hi, Did you log a new ticket or update the existing. If its a new unrelated thing its best to open a new one. Please quote the ref for us here.

They also advised that the 2am drop was a scheduled reboot they have every 2nd week.
TTC mentioned in the past that the 2am reboots are timed reboots every 2 weeks, but since this is happening daily, the team will take it up with TTC accordingly
