Hi Bro,

As long as you have the 6100WTS variant (regardless of size) Then yes it will work.

Let us know what firmware version they give you. There could be a later version to the one they gave me perhaps.
The one I got from them is 65A6130UWTS_(A001) _i1113 the file I downloaded is usb_HEA6100TCONDUAL.bin did not test it yet will do after 6 when I get home.

Seems that there was a hidden file on my USB called "System Volume Information". This prevented the TV from picking up the firmware. They provided me with the same firmware version as @CyberStorm.
@Theunnis How did you manage to remove that folder. When I connected the flashdrive to the TV it showed that folder but on the PC I can't find it. And my pc is set to show hidden files and folders. Maybe this is the same problem I have.

You need to untick "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)".

When is a USB stick not actually a USB stick?
but a hidden active device with a separate sd card buried inside it connected in parallel.

After days of trying every known trick in the book to reformat one of these "write protected" memory sticks, I finally resorted to opening up the device.

It was a "Poken" stick. It was an active device with its own battery supply! A brilliant piece of spyware with a built-in access mechanism to its own home server. Plug it into your PC and who the H knows what tricks it was up to? salvaged the 2GB mini SD card and dumped the device after smashing it.

The device even had a radio transmitter/interface in it!
A really dirty trick handed out at some stage as a gift at a product launch.

I was going to buy a Hisense TV today ,but after reading the "posts" on this forum I personally find it scandalous and unacceptable ,what people have had to go through to get a TV to function as advertised.
The fact that by stumbling across this forum determines whether an individual can upgrade their TV 's firmware in order to get full functionality is diabolical
The notion that I have to pm a Hisense rep on this forum ,as I repeatably read on this forum how no one can get solutions through Hisense themselves,in order to get a working firmware upgrade,is ridiculous
I think I might have dodged a bullet here!
You registered an account just to come rant.. plenty of people in this thread are perfectly happy with their TVs, even if they had some teething issues..
