[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Had a hisense technician update the firmware on my hisense 50a6100uw and dstv now app was on the tv before the update. After the update the app is no longer on the tv.

Why do you find that strange? Pretty normal for that to happen. You will have to presumably re-install the dstv now app again.

There is no DSTV now app in the app store. They assured me that if I did a factory reset after the update that the app would reappear. But nothing

Check if your region is set to South Africa

The answer is then that same "techie" must show you where the App is? or how to get it back.
 
My TV has this weird behavior. My wifi password ends in a 9, every single day after I've turned the TV on for the first time, it's unable to connect to the wifi.

When I go into the settings and view the password, the password ends in an 8 - all other digits are correct. Once I fix the incorrect digit, the TV connects as normal.

Do any of you guys experience this issue? It['s super annoying!
 
Is there any software available that allows one to remote onto a TV's interface for remote support? So like one would use Anydesk or Teamviewer or Chrome Remote Desktop to log onto a Windows pc, is there an equivalent for logging onto a TV's UI?

PS My set doesn't run on Android afaik....
 
See some really good deals on some of these TV's but with the issues you all are having I think it best to just keep it connected to the PC and cast from there.
 
@HisenseSA : Is there any updated firmware for the 43A6100UW?

My set currently the Youtube app doesnt load. Even after clearing cache and cookies and restarting the set. I have left a query on the Hisense SA website over a week ago with no response as yet....

Currently running : Software Version : VA001.01.00a.I0730
Extended version : I0730

Just change your wifi password to end in an "8":p
 
@Hisense SA please post a link to the latest firmware for 61A6100UW? I have VA001.01.00a.I0929

Tried usb_65HEA6100UWTSTCON.bin from your website but TV would not start the update process.
