[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I'm just concerned about the reliability of Hisense, I've read a lot of reviews and it seems that some people absolutely love them and others have real problems and then they struggle to get good customer service.
Then they're no different to brands like Samsung or LG. And at least in the case of Hisense you get a much longer warranty period plus if it goes outside the warranty you'll have spent far less money.

Anyone able to share their experience on the 50b7100... Colour, picture quality etc.
Considering buying it but just want to do some research on it first. I know it's entry level UHD Hisense but it seems good bang for buck.

I initially wanted the 55b8000 but it is too big for the lounge layout and maximum 50inch will have to do.

Is the DSTV now quality better on the Hisense TV app or Android TV via the MiBox? Or is it the same?

Can't see how it would be different between the two apps. DSTV are the ones responsible for the quality of the content inmho, but I could be wrong too :-)

Just thinking maybe the Android one is more tailored towards mobile while the Hisense TV app is more geared for TV viewing

Hi all. I am stuck in two minds over the 65Q8600UWG and the U9A. They both have similar specs. Which is the newer model and which is better?

The 65Q8600UWG is the latest model and currently their top of the range, however, the 65U9A is a better TV.
The price difference is quite big.

@Hisense SA is there a firmware update for the 55M7000 ULED? When I watch TV on any source, without the smooth motion enabled, there is picture judder which very annoying to the eye. The newer model 55B8000 has a custom setting to reduce the blur as well as reduce judder, which is essentially what I'm after. I don't enjoy having to be forced to watch with smooth motion effect.

Great thread, im looking to get either the 58B7200 or the 55B8000, any idea if the 55b8000 has chromecast built in? Im rather fond of casting to my MiBox3 and blasting Spotify out of the surround system.

Is there a major difference in picture quality between the 2?

VIDAA vs AndroidTV?

@Hisense SA maybe you could advise?

Yes B8000 has casting built in. VIDAA is weak compared to android tv, through it does not bother me as I use apple tv 4k to manage everything.

Took it upon myself since no response here. For anyone having a similar issue, there is a firmware update H1230 which apparently fixes the issue. Hisense will mail the update directly to you if you contact them.

Thanks, seems the major differences are Android TV vs Vidaa and 50hz vs 120hz... I was keen to use the mibox on my not very smart bedroom TV, but I think the best route might be b8000 with mibox for Android TV.

I'm busy building out my house with Google Nest Minis and Sonoff and I'd like my TV to not feel left out

As Gtx Gaming has said, VIDAA is nowhere near as good as Android.
The B8000 is a much better TV quality wise. The B8000 does not have Chromecast built in.
Please find a comparison sheet below:

Right, so B8000 > b7200 in everyway except for OS, so if I'm not getting Chromecast Built-in anyway the next would be B8000 or Q8600?

From this thread it seems the ppl are very happy with their B8000s but some Q8600 owners expected more?

I'm going to be in the market for a new TV later on in the year and I've been keeping an eye on the thread. This is purely my personal opinion but based on the experiences shared in the thread, it seems that the Q8600 is either a problematic product in general or South Africa may have been shipped a particularly dodgy batch.
