[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Hi all

For anyone that's used both, is there a big difference between the b8000 and the q8600? I know the q8600 is great but wondering if I can use the spare cash to improve my set up somewhere else.

Main use would be gaming, youtube and netflix. Also looking at the 55 inch models in both if it makes any difference

I don't own one yet but have been shopping around and doing some research.

It's worth bearing in mind that Hisense SA is on the verge of updating and releasing their 2020 line up. In particular, the replacement for the B8000 should be worth the wait according to the Rtings review:

I believe that the B8000 replacement is the U7WF in SA:

Thanks for the links, had a look at a few reviews for H8G and it appears to be promising. All depends on the price it launches at as the H8F (SA equivalent) is going for 8k on Takelaot which seems like a good price all things considered.

Currently have a 8 year old Samsung LED so either will be a massive upgrade for me

My pleasure.

They all seem pretty decent. Personally I think I'm going to wait to see how much the U7WF goes for, as it seems to strike a good balance between price and performance (based on international reviews anyway).

Any idea when the new models are expected to launch?
 
The Hisense 58A7100F is the only new model available so far.
The rest of the new models will become available from about next week.
The prices on the higher spec'd TV have seen quite a big increase due to the exchange rate.

Based on the specs, I'd say the U7QF is more likely the local equivalent of the H8G e.g. H8G has peak brightness at 700, like U7QF, whereas U7WF only has 420cd/m2 peak brightness and U7WF makes no mention of HDR10+ like the other 2 (only regular HDR10).

Yeah maybe you're right. I tried to figure out what's what but it would be helpful if companies just used one model number for all regions...

Looking for some advice
I want to upgrade my old 55" to a 65" or 75"
Leaning towards a high end 65" than a entry level 75" but I'm not sure.?
The tv will be running off my PC most of the time most of the smart functionality won't be used.
It will be wall mounted in my bedroom.

How good is the HDR on the 75"?
I see the 65" 65Q8600 is R16k from Takealot
I can also get a 65" 65U9A for R23k from another source (I like the built in sound bar)
The 75" 75A6500UW is R20k from Takealot
Any other model numbers I'm not considering?

Check Hirsch out theyr clearing out a lot of TVs at good prices.

Well, as of yesterday according to the press release but still no word on pricing or actual store availability. But I'm sure by next week then?
 
Was looking at specs of the new range . Is it wierd that TVs don't come with USB3 ports? Just an observation. Assuming many still use USB sticks and harddrives and unsure if USB2 sustains performance to show say 4k content for example?

I don't know if I must buy a HISENSE U8QF or LG quantum dot screen which supports all HDR standards (which must be better right?) .

I am still rocking a 40" 1080p Samsung from ten years ago . Normally don't and won't care about smart features in TV as I prefer to use AppleTV/FireTV.

Why is TV buying so complicated

Go with the LG if you can afford it. I have both Hisense and LG. The LG has more colour options, the Smart TV features are effortless and magic remote is pure win. The USB 2.0 port does handle 4k content quite well and other stuff like BT headphones and soundbars pair efficiently.
 
Any info on this one, it terms of peak brightness and dimming zones?
