I was just about to buy 1 too. With 3k on delivery it's less of a no brainer. Also worried about what that means for returns etc.
Guess it's back to deciding between the hisense Q8600, u8qf or the Skyworth OLED...

Then thats rather deceptive from the retailers. A lot of them are pushing the Q60T at a "discounted price now".Wait!
So I did some digging. And called a reputable distributer of Samsungs (don't want to mention names). He told me that from Monday next week, ALL of the samsung distributers (Takealot, Tafelberg, Herch's etc) will be running the Q70T at R12,999 for the week. While stocks last.
Even at the “discounted” price the Q60T is too expensive seeing as it’s not an upgrade from the Q60R which was around 15k for the 55 inch. The Q70T is the Q60R upgrade and so the RRP of 20k+ for the 55 inch Q70T is ridiculous. It doesn’t have local dimming or support Dolby Vision (though does have HDMI 2.1 I think) So it makes sense from Samsung to discount it to shift stock. It isnt selling. The huge saving, from 20k to 13k, makes it tempting, but to me, it’s still 3k too much for a 55 inch TV at the end of the day. I would rather get bigger tv for 13k+ and sacrifice the bells and whistles. The one to get is the Q80 but, at 30k, that’s OLED territory. Then thats rather deceptive from the retailers. HiSense H9, but I don't think it is available in SAIs there a 65” equivalent (any brand) of the Q70T, in terms of quality?
It's up to each person to decide. I prefer quality picture over screen size (all price dependent). Your eyes adjust pretty quickly to size.Kwas

Yeah, it’s personal preference. I have a 55 inch at the moment and so the next TV has to be a size up. Quality is important but it’s not like the entry level 4K TVs from the reputable brands are bad. The jump in price to the so-called better TVs sold by these brands is not worth it for me.
