[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

There was an odd price drop today on the 65" Hisense U8K on TAL to R13k (1k less than the 55" model) and I snatched it. Immediately after I bought it, the price went back up to R18k.

It isn't an unboxed deal, but it's sold by Lekker Local and fulfilled by TAL.

I was considering getting the Toshiba Z770, but this seemed like a good upgrade for the price.

Scheduled delivery is 27 May (2 weeks?!) so let's see if they make good on their offer!
 
Received the N1023 Update for my A8H today.

Lots of "fixed issues" but nothing really changed visually. Can't say I ever had issues with this TV either (touch wood).

Any differences noticed for anybody else?

Just checked mine as I have auto updates disabled and shows nothing for me, still on version N0705.
This is now on a 65" A8H

As feared, my order has just been cancelled after 2 weeks of waiting because "we no longer have stock". Is there anything I can do about it? Can I somehow get TA to fulfil this order?

I have a Hisense 50E7K.The movies are 4K Dolby Vision. Some movies it recognises as HDR if I got to settings and others it doesn't. Why would this happen?

HDMI to Android Box Ematic 4K Ultra HD which connect to my Synology Server.

Some movies it recognises the Dolby Vision. The movie is the latest Godzilla x Kong . I've tried two different 20GB DV files.

Like Ready Player One its fine.
Fall Guy is fine.

But some other files it does it as well.
Cant figure out why on some it shows up as HDR in the graphic settings , but others just Standard.

The Ematic doesn't support DV though, have you tried the media directly?

The TV does. Then why does it work on some DV files and others not? I use Kodi and the Kodi file also shows Dolby Vision.

I know I'm a bit dumb with TV's

How do you try the media directly? It has to get it from my Media Server somehow.

Memory stick plugged into tv
