Openweb standard uncapped 1Mbit.
Originally had issues with it, but got that sorted and now am very happy. It is actually better than I expected, especially for the price which is being paid!

Performance = 4
Support = Unknown (Have not used it yet)
Value for money = 5
Overall satisfaction = 4.5?

I have been with Openweb now for sometime and have recommended them to a couple of other people and they're all happy with the service too. I can't think of anything that I would like to be improved as I hardly ever have any connectivity issues and the latency I get is very good. Keep up the good service.

I've been with OW for 2 months (1 mo Silver, 1 mo Gold), so far it's fine - hasn't blown me away but the service has been acceptable besides a few hiccups.

One thing that OW seriously needs to invest in is an overhaul of their online systems. Their client login is utterly useless. I can't view my invoices online because im on one of the "Specials" and apparently this isnt supported in their CP. There are no network notifications. No online ticketing system. If you email about billing it's handled via ZenDesk but support is handled by what I assume is just a regular mailbox.

PS: I do think OW is great but they seriously are lacking in their online presence and it's rather unacceptable for an ISP.

On OpenWeb Standard Uncapped 1mbs. Not the greatest but the price is good so it's what you'd expect for a cheap uncapped account. I would love better international speeds and a far more consistent ping. For the most part I'm happy until I have the money for a better account.

Performance - Speed is good
Support - Haven't needed support much, been great when needed. Response is great.
Value for money - Great specials, and pricing.
Overall satisfaction - Excellent

Ive switched between Openweb and axxess over the last few years and they are both good, unfortunately the uncapped packages supplied by IS have ruined the "uncapped" adsl experience, and shows under performance and value for money.
Performance 2/5
Support 4/5
value for money2/5
overall satisfaction 2.6
If the IS star rating system was removed or 80% less ridiculous then Performance and value for money would be 4 or 5

The openweb gold 4 meg account is a little pricey, but well worht it, full speed all the time :) The support is usually good, get e-mail responses within an hour or so :)

Quite happy overall.

Performance = 5 – Excellent (much better than expected)

Having packages where you can select which upstream providers you want to use or which undersea cable system to be on :)

Otherwise, very happy with them.

hi guys

who here has a 10Mbit gold or silver uncapped package from open web?

how is it for gaming, nab downloads and normal browsing for during the day and after hours?

Performance = 5
Support = 5
value for money = 4
Overall = 5
I have been using OW for nearly 2 years now on the gold package. I have swapped backbones a few times when one has been having issues. Very good support with fast responses from the CEO when ever I have any questions.

OpenWeb Afterhour 10mb unshaped uncapped
Performance = 5 – Excellent after hours but could honestly be faster during the day (192k is a joke really. For what we're paying, 512k should be minimum).

Support = 2.5 - While email support is good, I am often disappointed by the lack of redundancy. Just last week IS had a fault and instead of moving to another network during the downtime, we had to sit with the problem for a day.

Value for money = 2 - While R899pm for just the account is fine considering the afterhours speeds, 192k during office hours is really pushing it and has forced me to seek an overall replacement.

Overall satisfaction = 3 - Good account. Could improve on local redundancy and also improve daytime speeds. Especially for users who have not downloaded much.

Improve on website client login features. Although I do use the uncapped for downloading after hours, daytime speeds is ridiculously slow on international websites, and I am not talking about downloading protocols. Maybe if the client login can be updated so the user can change the backbone to what the user wants, instead of through an email. I do have to use a different ISP during daytime unfortunately and this is the only negative thing I can say about openweb.

Prices on the Gold packages is also very good value for money and if it came through a special, even better!

But overall I have to rate it 4 out of 5 at least. Best uncapped ISP out there, especially concerning value for money!

Fair - as expected.
Nothing massively impressing, nor massively depressing.

Pretty much got what I wanted.

Openweb 1MB Uncapped (VB one)

Performance = 5
Support = 5
Value for money = 5
Overall satisfaction = 5

I was crazy to leave about a year ago, but VERY happy to be back with OpenWeb (after 3 months away). Thanks to MrBeep for great service! (All that for R229 p/m)

Turnaround times on queries could be tweaked a little, but generally its been a good experience.

OpenWeb Gold 384
Gold 1mb
Performance = 4 – Speed is excellent, latency is sometimes not great, particularly on mweb BF3 servers
Support = 5
Value for money = 5
Overall satisfaction = 5

I'm pretty happy, can't think of anything that would make me happier, except better pings to Mweb BF3 servers... (BTW I'm on VB backbone)

One of the first 4MB Uncapped Business DSL packages they had and still running on it.

Support = 5
Over the past couple of years we had some issues and before now their support number rang directly through to the support staff, apart from once where we made a total of 128 calls to get through to support about an issue, the last year or so their support has been excellent. They are quick to resolve a problem.

Performance = 5
Apart from the very rare occassion during the business day we achieve 95-98% of the maximum achievable download speed on a 4MB line. Recently I noticed the line speed upgraded to 6MB and the account at times now achieve 95-98% of this new line speed.

Value for Money = 5
Comparative to other similar products on the market from MWeb and Internet Solutions, the product we chose from OpenWeb at the time was the cheapest on the market and I believe still is the cheapest when compared to the value of the product, reliability and protocols that are allowed.

Overall = 5
I would recommend Openweb as an ISP to any of my business friends.

OpenWeb Gold 4mb
Performance = 4
Support = 4
Value for money = 5
Overall satisfaction = 4.5

OpenWeb Gold 4meg
Performance = 5 – Excellent (much better than expected)
Support = 5
Value for money = 5
Overall satisfaction = 5

Forgot to add what can Openweb do to improve.

They need to twist IS's arm to make a 6meg down, 1 meg up GOLD product.

A 5meg down and 640k up account would also be awesome.
