Performance is perfect after hours but pathetic during the day due to the line being throttled.

Support has been shown to be non-effective due to unanswered emails and unresolved issues. After numerous emails complaining about the above mentioned throttling, line is still throttled.

Value for money = 1
Given the fact that the line is being throttled on a "premium" product with "lower contention ratios" according to this product's description, this product offers absolutely no value for money.

Overall satisfaction = 1
I would suggest that you look elsewhere if you're considering this ISP. You've been warned.

I have been an openweb user for a few years now. Had various accounts on a 384k line and now I have had a few with a 1mb line.
Speeds are always consistent, I cant really speak about latency as i do not really stream or game online. Support is always excellent and instant. I am more than satisfied with Openweb, thats why I suggest them to friends and people I know and they have come aboard (Openweb is so good, I am not even concerned about contention )

Afters hours uncapped at R899-00 per month

Performance: 5, Between 7pm-7am during the week and all weekend this line consistently returns 80%-100% of my max line speed (in my case 10mb). Pings around 11ms to local servers so no complaints there. Don't game though so cannot offer an opinion there.

Support: 3.5, Have seldom had any performance related issues but MrBeeps/Keoma has been on hand to resolve any issues as they have arisen. Seems to be a bit of one pony company though with Keoma doing all the heavy lifting.

Value for money/Satisfaction: 5, Very satisfied, R899 may appear pricey but on average I pull 200gb a month on this account so at a shade under R4.50 per gig who am I to complain??? Downtime is rare, speeds are superb, I am satisfied!!!

Openweb could refine their online user interface. Currently it is sub standard, adequate though but only just. Keoma needs to employ some stars to help him out with certain aspects of running the business. I'm guessing he is under a fair amount of stress doing it all himself.

Performance: Great download speeds and was able to drop my WA unshaped account that I used for raiding in WoW - 5
Value: Never had any throttling issues and even when I know one or the other international cable is down I still have internet - 5
Support: Some of the best I've had in the country, Keoma generally responds within minutes to any query I've had - 5
Overall: Been with them for quite some time now and won't be going anywhere else anytime soon - 5

Performance: 3/5 Used to be perfect, never had a problem, recently for the last month or so it has been shaky, we have tried different backbones and switching between them seems to help now and again.
Support: 5/5 Always get a response and help, so cannot complain there, even weekends and after hours... sorry Mr Beep
Overall: 4/5 Have always been very happy, only lately speed issues here and there...

I have a Business Uncapped 1Meg line with OpenWeb, very happy with the service and their support is truly exceptional. I would love better latencies and speeds for international bandwidth but I can't see how that's in OpenWeb's control so just general frustration with SA broadband I guess.

I only recently signed up with Openweb, and the only criticism I have, is that it took a bit long to activate my account (9 days). Other than that, I am a perfectly happy customer. Openweb definitely delivers the best value for money, especially if you were able to get one of the promotional accounts, like I did.

They can improve by sending everybody a invoice at the end of every month as standard even though you pay with a debit order for our own records.

OpenWeb Gold 384 on IS Backbone
I am happy with my connection, works well for my needs and I don't feel too much slowdown. I sometimes do dueing office hours but I am not often here then so isn't a problem. I more often than not get my full line speed, I haven't had the need to check on latency really as I am not a gamer so that isn't a big thing for me.
Value for money is good and I am happy with my return. I haven't had the need to consider another ISP. I do have a back up ISP a/c incase I ever need it.
I have had an issue maybe once ever 3 months or so and emailing their support/COE and having my "port reset" (dunno what that is/does) has always sorted out my issue.
A value add that could be something nice for Gold subscribers is reintroduction of their Skype to Telkom phone service they tested a few years back, that was very useful to keep in contact with family.
