I have been with Telkom for 7 years and they offer the best package (telephone and internet package). I have an 8Mbps ADSL line with them. The service has been good, not excellent but it works and even though line speed is not what you pay for, it's consistent. I have 5 faults during this period and they have sorted it out within a few days. I have changed my line speed twice and there was no fuss beyond a simple phone call. there was an issue on billing but they reimbursed me within 2 weeks. Maybe I have been lucky or just clear when I talk to them.

I have Telkom 10mbs adsl, connection and speed are perfect, I always get full speed subscribed to and connection always available. Their service however is horrific, incompetent and unhelpful staff. It always takes more than five attempts with the call center or walk-in stores to get an issue sorted. Not to mention the long waiting times with the call center or walk in store.

In the urban area, where I live, very limited choice of connectivity.

Telkom install time is now good, ISP is lekker fast and stable. Fault time repair is a bit slow.

We are doing a survey on how happy subscribers are with their ISP, and it will be great if you can rate Telkom based on value-for-money, network quality, support, and general service satisfaction.

Also please tell us what Telkom does well, and where they can improve, by positing in this thread.
Since Telkom has partnered with vodacom there has been lots of complaints regarding Internet connections and speed issues.
I've been on a 24 month contract with Telkom and just after completing my contract I started having bad line speeds

Telkom ticks all the boxes except for network quality.Sometimes I struggle with my the signal and hopefully this will improve as I enjoy their service and rates.

Telkom offer the best prices deals and control of equipment for Fibre, But you will battle to get any of the add on services (Static IP & DNS) working or fixed. If one has an issue you hope like hell that you can get a competent person or else you have a serious on going problem.

I think Telkom is winning in terms of value for money. Their connectivity is mostly good too. We've had very few problems with outages.
I'm not sure that partnering with Vodacom was such a good idea though, since that's started, connectivity while roaming has been a bit of a joke.
Also, their service is not really up to snuff. When I upgraded my contract, I was amazed that for the first time in the 5 or so years that I've been with Telkom that I actually got good service from a knowledgable staff member who actually seemed invested in doing his job well.

Telkom help desk is poor, my local LTE speed (Edgemead 7441) is also steadily dropping over time. The Telkom android app works well when purchasing on account, fails when trying to purchase using credit card. The app shows the data consumption per month only, and far in excess of actual usage. E.g. for July it shows I have consumed 45.93 GB, my contract is for 500 MB!

We live outside town and have been struggling with internet access since we moved here 22 years ago. We changed to Telkom LTE about 3 years ago. Had to add a pointing antenna to get solid reception from the tower in town and 9km away.

It is by far the best experience we have had with reliability and speeds. With speeds up to 53Meg we have no issues with streaming sport, Netflix etc. IMHO they have the most affordable package in their 200GB day and 200GB night package for R1055.

We are very happy with Telkom LTE

I use a Telkom ADSL 10 meg line. I think it is good value for money. Telkom support has dramaticaly improved over the years as well.

I've found Telkom to be better than some of the other offerings out there - we have tried a handful of ISPs over the years, starting when our bandwidth kept getting stolen (our ISP at the time was Telkom; I was not happy with the response and ended up changing ISPs). However, none of the other ISPs gave the same type of support and I am now back with Telkom (years later), and it seems they have jacked up their service now. I work from home, so support that I can access for immediate assistance is vital to me; this, Telkom is very good with. I just wish the internet was a bit faster (although I cannot really complain, because we are on the slowest package - still, it seems slower than it should be). All in all, if the price could drop a bit that would be great, especially with everything else constantly going up.

Telkom service sucks. Connectivity good though. I just want out and their cancellation is not happening. it's been 4 months trying to cancel

I have good signal for close to 10 years now with Telkom so no complaints. I'm currently using a 8ta 3G dongle and the signal is okay.

Telkom.... Meh... Still stuck with adsl as fibre not available in the area. Not haply with their service but what else can u do
