Hi Gents,
So...I'm looking into buying a premium gaming laptop. The thing is I'm looking for something with bang for buck and with a long life-cycle (although premium laptops are Kek expensive with a relatively short life-cycle for gaming i just want to make the right decision).
I was looking into a Aorus x7 pro or the x5, cash not really the problem. I have a desktop at home (i7 2600k, 670gtx, 256ssd etc) which i would like to make a media centre but i would like to move away from the old desktop in a room setup (I'm long finished with UNI and have girlfriend living with me so that is a no-go zone) to a laptop easily playing a bit of x-com or dota somewhere close or in the study with a monitor setup if competitive.
The reason for me posting here is i would like to know, am I naive to think getting a laptop would be different from sitting in a desktop room (I'll only be sitting there when playing competitive dota)? Girlfriend hates it when i lock myself in and play dota for hours and i dont have reason like its a dgl match, maybe having a laptop would make it more user and spectator friendly if casually gaming (built is speakers with mic etc)...
Is the Aorus a viable option? They have been released about 6mnths ago, is there anything newer with same/better specs etc? Or should i for now stay with my current setup?
My setups so far:
PC (specs as in text)
ps4 (casual gaming while gf sleeps
)
Dell xps 13 (work)
Awe hope your insight will enlighten me
Peace Ya'll
