Proline A933L Tablet / keyboard bundle

yah it will :)

i youtube for quite a long time,played game,internet

from about 4h and bat only droped to 56% when i went to bed

8-12 around that time

i didnt get the keyboard as i cant adjust it stuck at one viewing angle

for battery life i used it for quite a few hours, youtube etc
when its fully charged,i will time it and see how fast it drop in like eg 1h of youtube, brouser etc

wiht the percentage drop ,can work out what the worse case will be (full load till its dead)
but will most ppl wont do heavy use for the whole 100%

but last time,i gotten a day out of it wiht normal use

gonna do youtube, play hill climb, have my browser and skype open
what els should i open to keep it realistic for you?

Firstly sorry for the thread necro, I stumbled upon this and am very interested in getting one.

So the viewing angles are fine and if you are working on it outside in the sun there are no issues with glare / struggling to see the screen?

Also does it have a dedicated charging port or do you HAVE to use the micro USB port to charge it?
If you have to use the micro USB port, is it possible to get some sort of USB hub which allows you to charge it while having a USB mouse and USB flash drive connected at the same time?

havent used it in the sun, alot but the time i did it was ok

only problem is it only have a micro usb port, for charging, and no usb ports

u know where i can get a adapter like ur talking about
so i can test it,it also seem very usefull

Alright, sounds great. So the screen looks good too or not really?
Any chance you could try and take some pictures of it?

As for the adapter, something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dual-Micro-...msung-Galaxy-S3-S4-Google-Nexus-/111579884821

Or even something like this: http://www.kalahari.com/Technology/Apacer-A110-Micro-USB-Cable-Black_p_47736741 or perhaps this: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/1381...b32J1cb3m9G98zjSMSjaAAmxZ3XpXE3p7dxoCVZnw_wcB

Then you get a normal USB hub and possibly some male to female USB adapters, one would plug into the charger and the other into the HUB.
I did a bit of Googling and found someone who had a Toshiba Encore tablet running Windows 8 and that is what he did, it did not charge it but it basically maintained the battery at the current percentage (in other words sort of like running straight off the main power and not battery, sort of).

Any more thoughts from you guys about this tablet and dock after a few months of use?

Hi,

I bought this tablet about a month ago, I've been having some serious issues with the inbuilt wifi adapter (Realtek RTL8723) it keeps disconnecting itself and then not finding the network again until restarting the adapter and when connected the internet is painfully slow. I've managed to find a slightly newer driver on Dell's website (other ppl experience this) but the issue persists. Apart from this, when using the inbuilt 3G the tablet is great! screen res awesome and the windows boots super quick and runs smoothly. If I could find a fix for the shoddy Realtek adapter I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

PS. I have another realtek usb adapter in my desktop and it causes the same issues.

the only problem i have like above, but just opposite ,3g is a ass for me
but never had a problem with my WiFi

Hi There Guys

I am new to this, I am also looking to get the same hybrid windows tablet + keyboard just concerned about a few things :

- Does it have an adjustable tilt on the keyboard ?
- How much of actual space is left on the HDD after windows ?
- Durability after months of use ( Any major issues )

Also I have a choice between these two :

Proline A933L - http://www.takealot.com/proline-a93...i-32gb-tablet-with-keyboard-dock/PLID34167808

Dell Venue 8 - http://www.webdirect.co.za/pDELL_VE...-Windows-81-and-Office-2013-SAVE-R450000.aspx

Any help with which one will be the better choice, any advice will do

Thanks

they are almost the same juts just the cpu thats a bit faster, and the huge up is the 64gb on the dell, and bit faster ram

with the proline,u cant set the tilt, its 32gb and you only have around 10-12gb space left
and they keyboard are not that sturdy,it flex easy

and when u use the proline at normal setting not scaled up,things are quite hard to read, dam small
but at 150% it look ok :)
but then things like skype get fuzzy (the text)

but the proline is not bad for the price,

if u can go to IC(dell) computermania(proline)and see if they have it in stock, and test it out,or sometimes they have and test them out

but i will say go for the dell, just cuz more storage, bit more cpu/ram speed

that keyboard with the usb is a big plus,as the proline dont have usb ports that sucks

that battery is a great size in above, and its alot better than the nextbook at macro

and its a better option than the proline, mainly due to the battery/usb ports
and the price is not bad :)

edit: where are you ordering from?

I also have this tablet with the keyboard dock at first it did work great with the wifi but after a windows update i find that wifi drops connection continuously and the speeds are very slow im still looking for a fix for this and wondering if i should return it or try to reinstall a better version of windows 8 x64 than the windows 8 rt 32bit OS it is currently running, i think thats a bit cheap of proline to give us 64bit processor with 32bit OS installed

Ordering from Walmart + Using ( Stackry ) to do the delivery to door, Im just worried about getting a fault unit, but thats the price to pay...

Hey guys. Bought this tablet last week, seems pretty cool so far but haven't had the chance to put it through its paces just yet. Wifi has only dropped once so far (during a file copy, but 550mb of windows updates worked fine), haven't tested 3G yet.

Out of interest, did any of you have issues inserting the micro SD card? Mine seems to get stuck (doesn't click in), and i don't want to force it. Worried that i've broken it somehow :/
EDIT: After noticing that the manual specified mini SD instead of micro SD, i decided to see what else it got wrong. Turns out they also got the ports switched around too -_- RTFM FTL

My main bugbear atm is that the keyboard doesn't have dedicated mouse buttons, making drag selection a real mission.

yah but "Intel Celeron N2805"

i had a celeron laptop almost same as above,it was a pain to use that cpu is USELESS ,the quad 1.3 in the proline/other is alot faster, runs alotsmoother, less lag,and use less power

with the celeron,1080p vids(youtube) lagged like hell, with the proline, smooth as butter
also with tablets u get SSD speed, with small laptop its cheap slow drives that makes it even more a pain to use with that crap cpu
