I was about to post that Steyn's actions are typical of Tennis greats - past¤t. Whenever they're being embarassed by a lower ranked player they almost always pull up hurt and retire during the match.

Steyn trying to mask things there.

I'll have to think about that very deeply.

6 times over...

Missed all of that! :(

Thought I'd go out and do all chores this morning and then settle in for the afternoon session with a few beers...

Now I need to catch the highlights package.

Missed most of the announcement, but seems QdK is out of the series due to his injury.

Very smart of CSA to go for Bavuma and make AB keep. They know Tsolekile would get a ton against this kind of WI attack missing Roach, Taylor is off-colour, Cottrell unsualy very slow, while Gabriel has been wayward each time he's got a chance.

If I were CSA I'd select Tsolekile for the rest of the series and put the Thami Tsolekile matter to rest. He'll have 2 Tests in which to do that.

In fact, there's no need for both AB&Amla to be in this side. Both Thami&Bavuma can play but definitely it should be Thami ahead of Bavuma if there's one spot to cover for QdK's absence.

I still say Morkel was very fortunate to be in the wickets. Abbott bowled better than he did. Either way, one of them should've made way for Tsotsobe. Morkel can ride on past success, but there is absolutely no cricketing reason why Abbott is there ahead of him. You can't wait for ideal conditions in order for him to fire then argue "you see". Abbott has proven in all formats that he simply cannot take wickets consistently at this level.

He exposes the lack of depth in SA cricket as far as bowlers are concerned. With Parnell being this poor, Kleinveldt unconvincing last time plust the strange inclusion of Rabada (who should not be ahead of Tsotsobe, Morris etc), it proves why people lack respect for the Proteas. Despite toppping the rankings proteas are never considered heavyweights. The simple reason is Eng, AUS, IND can select two very different XIs and still be able to compete.

Remove two of Amla, AB, Steyn&Philander and we're automatic second favourites going into any series. India just rested Dhoni, ever rotating their spinners&seamers plus you can't point to any settled top 6 bats but they still compete&win. England forced KP into retirement up steps any of Root, Ballance, Morgan&Taylor. Clarke out no problem - Cowan, Khawaja, White, Marsh etc. Drop Siddle, rest Haris no problem - whole supply line of seamers. NZ have gone through multiple batsmen in their top order and been winning throughout. We could;nt even rest anyone for ZIMBABWE for crying out loud!

Abbott out!!! If this was Kleinveldt or Parnell many would be making noises. I don't see why Abbott should be spared! He's well below Tsotsobe's class.

ZCFOutcast seems to be smoking that special blend you can only find in the Caribbean.

To suggest Thami is a insane.
