If u own of one of them, and someone says it's crap, you're not going to dump it and buy the other one.

But fun to rip people off. That's what its about.

XBOX 360 atm is winning the console war, its going to come down to the PS3's pure processing power and bluray that imo will make the console better than the xbox. I live in the UK, and many many people are starting to trade their 360's in for PS3's. Latest releases here are all the same price.
Take it or leave it, I bought myself a PS3, I knew I was buying into a console that will last me a long time (DVD will be the downfall of the 360, HD content and games are getting bigger and bigger, even GTA IV they battled with the DVD restrictions for the 360)

Sounds like SONY are giving u a rebate if u hand in your XBOX.

It doesn't have the memory issues of older generation batteries.
That was only really a problem with Nicads.

and you don't exactly see iPod owners rushing around looking for replacement batteries either.
Actually you do. And it really annoyed people that Apple expected them to throw away a perfectly good piece of hardware just because the battery has reached the end of its life.

Recharging has a negligible effect on the battery life (although it does have a defined shelf life).
Lithium polymer does degrade each time you recharge it.

It has blu-ray, but does not appear to have more processing power. Unless we're playing theoretical games.

Why bother buying an Xbox if you have a PC? Most of the so-called Xbox "exclusives" can be purchased for 1/2 the price on the PC.
The PC lacks the convenience factor and requires constant upgrading to play games.

no need to purchase play & charge kits or batteries for your controllers
That would be even better if the controller wasn't ergonomically dated. I thought very highly of the PS2 controller. Several years ago. Unfortunately Sony have made no decent improvements to it. Very disappointing.

why change the ps2 controller for the ps3 - all the psx and ps2 users have gotten used to it. It makes no sense to change it for the ps3 - it works well.

But it's not perfect, we need improvements....

personally the triggers need improving, the analog sticks need to be moved off center and someone please put some weight into it :D

I actually played on a Xbox 360 wired controller the other day and was really impressed. it feels much more comfortable than the wireless controller. Slimmer in the middle

Ditto!

Hate the X360 controller myself... Though it's a lot better than the original one... whooo that was bad.

Just sheer ergonomics - very little thought went into the PS controller. It started as a derivative of the SNES controller "with palm support" and evolved from there. Tack on the rumble, tack on the analogues, where ever there was space. I could never play on my playstation for more than 45 minutes at a time without getting cramps.

I love the 360 controller, but it's not perfect either. The D-pad is terrible and it's a bit big for small hands.

GTA IV is only 6 gigs so how on earth could they have battled to fit it on a DVD ! its all just rumours to degrade the 360 ! PGR 4 before it came out the same rumour floated around, with assasins creed the same ! Look at Crysis its the most graphical intensive game with extremely big textures and that fitted on a DVD so this whole bluray vs dvd debate is null and void.

Movies take up a lot of space.
