Quadcopter/Drone Thread

So basically fly your drone where ever you please??

There must be some clear cut rules?

Rules are already there, how they're enforced is an entirely different story.
There's always going to be that guy who flies is in a crowded place, and he might get some amazing shots and have some fun - until the quad decides it's had enough and falls out of the sky into the crowd... good luck trying to have your insurance pay for that.

Here's my Inspire 1 after a flight that ended badly. Thankfully it was on a friends farm, imagine that happened in a crowded area.

Schit! What was the cause of failure and cost to repair?

Enjoying it?
Very much so, basic but great fun for learning your way around.

Flight time is limited so Only snag is waiting for battery to charge.. which is different to what is described in the manual and seems easy mode and speed adjustment doesn't seem to work..

How much do you think I could sell my Phantom 3 Advanced for ? 2 months old. Flown about 15 times with no crashes.

Drone bug has hit hard. Want to upgrade.

CAA stipulates 150ft altitude, yet the SAMAA stipulates 400ft... hmm so 50m vs 120m ... I'll use the SAMAA guideline here :D

The SAMAA regulations on altitude only apply to designated club fields.
