R9 290 temps?

I've had mine for about 2 years now, it runs at around 94C under load.

On a side note I had a 560ti run at 99C under load for 2 years, interestingly it did that with no problems and this was with several hour BF3 sessions daily.

At one point today my card was running at 71 degrees

I could hear the fans going insane in the case, opened the case for more air and it came down to about 55 degrees.

Add more fans? I got such a fright damn. Maybe invest in water cooling? I heard these cards run hot and are power hungry but damn 71 degree?

Which card (brand and variant) is that?

The temperature is normal though, but some cards can really turn up the decibels.

Yup PCS+ says normal is around fine at 70 off. Never seen it past 74 yet. Sure a fan speed increase might help a little

Thanks for the reassurance :)

It is way below the Gigabyte Windforce which according to marketing has the best cooling application ever for high clock speeds. Looking at that link, the cards being compared, the MSI is doing the best. No reassurance needed, it's normal.
