The entire week I had slow speed in Sunnyside, Pretoria. We can get 5G coverage but have not applied yet.
At the expense of sounding like a conspiracy theorist would Rain throttle 4G in an effort to force one to switch to 5G
Damn I'll switch in a heartbeat. Will even take up a 4g uncapped service from them for R1k (Telkom Uncapped LTE is only R100 cheaper anyway). Not sure why it hasn't happened yet. Their CEO should be fired.

Ditto. Thank goodness I have a wisp backup. Soon it will be my primary internet. I foresee rain here going to S%$t when all the holidaymakers come and swamp our one and only cell tower.

very unstable
Yes I am back to resorting to downloading my media where possible as streaming is the most painful experience ever.
This helps with the peak period data limits too.
At least I have something to watch during that time without getting another contract.
But it's like we back to the dark ages.
Rain support doesn't even respond to logged requests anymore if you are on 4G.

Call me an old f@rt, but I never got on the streaming train, so peak period data not important for me. Sonarr, SABNZBD & Kodi FTW!

It feels like every hour, on the hour the connection goes offline for about 10 minutes and then comes back again. This is annoying!

Mother-in-law had some choice words about rain downtime today. Not repeatable on a public forum...:)
