RARU Online

Anyway to get hold of Raru over the weekend bought a psn subscription from them and it shows its stuck at the warehouse

For first time buyers we do check all first time digital voucher orders. But once we have approved it, going forward all future digital voucher orders would go through immediately.

Unfortunately due to high levels of attempted fraud on Digital Vouchers orders we do have to be extra cautious when processing these orders.

No issue with my order, but Raru does have extremely poor after sales service though. Logged a return for a motherboard on the 21st of Jan and it still has not been resolved after 3 weeks. All they keep telling me is that the motherboard is still under fault assesment from the supplier...

So? Blame the supplier for taking so long/

Why blame the supplier? Is it my fault that Raru is using that supplier ? My experience with Takealot is a week's turnaround time.

Yeah I dunno why people think making their supplier problems your problem is ok. You have a contract with Raru, what happens in the background should not matter.

Actually your contract with Raru states it's dependent on the supplier.

Could be coincidence, but they finally acknowledged that it is a technical fault yesterday and will be sending a replacement via the supplier... here comes another 2 weeks.
If it is acceptable for Raru that their suppliers take so long, my future business belongs somewhere else...

Chancers!

They had Xbox One controller & Cable for Windows on their website for R861.00. I order 5 and ask for a discount then they respond with a link to a different product all together (Xbox One controller without cable) and say they'll give it to me for R1019.00. lol then I respond with the link to the R861.00 and I never heard from them again.

You are the chancer.

Raru is a bit useless on the import side. They let you search for anything under the sun and show a result.. but when ordering they deduct the money, send you an email " oh sorry it has batteries, we cant import anything with batteries" then make you wait several weeks for a refund.

So yeah, heads up to you all. They cant import anything with batteries.. be it laptop, mouse, radio or a wall clock if it has a battery in the unit or even loose in the box

This is really strange. If you order for R300 you get free courier delivery (normally R35). But for some reason I'm classified as regional so the delivery charge is R80 which means I pay R45 for delivery. Yet my order is more than 10 times the threshold, WAY more. I don't see why they can't give a tiered discount especially since if I split an order up I can get free delivery through Pargo. Will Raru give me a discount for a R20k order?

Ok I can't order a hard drive but I can order ram.

Not very impressed. Why have a service when it's unusable? I tried several things now and keep getting "your order is too big or high value to use Pargo." One of the items in question: https://raru.co.za/electronics/1178009-tp-link-150mbps-usb-wi-fi-wireless-n-nano-adaptor

It seems any electronics are by default excluded but there's no mention of what's accepted.

Here's a novel idea.

Instead of moaning on an unrelated forum...how about contacting them?

Or if you must forum go to SAGamer where they basically live.
