Are any of you RBM users able to use the Cell C Self Service or MyTools? We have heard the complaints of all those who can't, but is there actualy someone who can?

MyTools works for me, but not the Cell C self service. I'm also waiting for my MMS to get sorted out which I haven't been able to use at all. Cell_C, what is happening there? Still waiting for feedback on my MMS problem which is taking a bit long now to resolve.
 
What is your MMS problem? Have you called 140 and ask them to enable it?

My MMS also did not want to work. But then I upgraded to FroYo and then did a factory reset...then after that it started working. Maybe the same thing will work for him.

I can't send or receive MMS. I will send a test MMS, and after a few minutes receive a message that it didn't go through. Incoming MMS will show in my inbox, but when I click on Download/View it says that the message can't be retrieved. I'm using the APN settings that Cell_C gave me.
I've called 140, emailed them, and PM'd Cell_C a few times. Cell_C have been the more helpful person of them, but still no feedback (after almost two weeks) as to what the actual problem is or if they can fix it. They did acknowledge that there is some kind of problem. :wtf:

ocleroux, I've already upgraded to FroYo and did the factory reset as you explained in a previous post, but no luck.
 
Went into a Cell C store today and they're leaflet/magazine/thing for July said that the Motorola was being replaced with the LG Optimus Black in the same RBM 200 deal...

Which is a really good deal I may have to go for.

negative, I tried this yesterday and got told sorry they have withdrawn the LG after the sales person couldnt get it loaded on the system so I took the mb525. I also cannot register for self service.

hmm so the DEFY will be replaced by the LG Optimus, isn't that going backwards as the Huawei have a lot of problems as we've all seen.

And Cell C do you have any idea when the LG Optimus will become part of the RBM contracts ? (a +/- date perhaps)

Its the Optimus Black AFAIK. Will confirm later ;)
 
LG Optimus Black

Guys I got the LG Optimus Black today on the RBM 200 contract. So far so good.

The home button, Search button and lock screen did not work out of the box, factory reset did the fix.

Yup ... but it's been on and off for me the last few days.
Also, it has been doing this thing where if I phone, either it was just say dialling for like a minute or 2 before just ending, or even sometimes, will immediately end after I press dial, then I have to switch airplane mode on and off, then it works again ... and when the phone is like this, if somemone tries to call, they can't get through and then I get an sms saying missed call.

It's been highly frustrating and I hope they fix this ASAP.
