*READ FIRST* iBurst Billing & Customer Service Queries

I know exactly how you feel.

The Iburst Call Center is an absolute joke, the amount of incompetence borders on criminal and the fact that it hasn't gotten any better (in fact worse i think) does not inspire much confidence in the people running the show behind the scenes, you know the ones, the ones that hide behind the impenetrable wall that is their incompetent front-line help desk, the ones you will never get to talk to no matter how much you threaten and plead. I'm going to have to take off work tomorrow just so I can go to the bank to fix a cock-up they have caused, a cock-up that I was assured was resolved the last time I spoke to them two weeks ago.

This is the second month in a row that iBurst has over-debited my account. THE SECOND ****ING MONTH IN A ****ING ROW.

I was told this issue had been resolved, and my account would be credited with the difference, but no, biiiiiiiiig surprise, not only was my account NOT credited, but I've also been charged almost R700 for my 8 GB month-to-month contract. Astonishingly, it's EVEN MORE than I was over-debited last month. So, what, is it going to be R1000 next month?

HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN?

I want this sorted out, I want my money back, and I want this to not happen again. I am SO ****ing angry about this.

[EDIT] I've applied for a DSL line, which will be activated within the next few days. I want my money returned, my iBurst contract cancelled effective this month's end, and I swear, if iBurst takes another SINGLE CENT from my bank account, you're going to read about it in a full page spread in a magazine or hey, maybe Hayibo.com. I haven't decided yet.

Last time that happened, though, I got a call from your CEO to apologise personally. Moral of the story - don't piss off a journalist.

I hate having to actually make a threat like that, it's positively neolithic in sophistication, but I fought with your support staff for THREE MONTHS to get a browsing issue on your side fixed, with you insisting it was a problem on my side. After publishing an article about it, BLAM! Phone calls, apologies, and the issue was resolved in 15 minutes. Whose fault was it? YOURS.

So apparently it's the only way to get anything done with you people. I mean, honestly, I'm still waiting on a response to a query I sent two months ago. Your customer service is abysmal.

My customer number is W0039937.

Seriously, I sent the support desk screencaps from the Windows CMD showing the destination IP timing out after several hops, but no, it was a problem on my side. Problem on my side. Problem on my side. Problem on my side. Problem on my side. Problem on my side. Problem on my side, because I'm just a dumb**** female who can barely negotiate the on/off switch on my PC without something burning down.

And then three months and one magazine article later, LOL PROBLEM ON OUR SIDE WE FIXED IT LOL SORRY FOR THE 15 MINUTES + THREE MONTHS DELAY LOL.

During those three months, I was unable to load a number of important sites I use for work in my browser. Just about every single ****ing day, I had to apologise to my editors because, actually, that issue with sites not loading on my iBurst connection hasn't been resolved yet because they're blaming me, and sorry, no, I can't use that URL.

I get your frustation and all, but if you are strugling for 3 months and its your job on the line, Why not get something else in the mean time. I know you are paying iburst to get a service. But have a backup plan... i need the internet everyday, and trust iburst for that. But somedays things can go wrong and you have to have a backup plan.... thanks rbm!
Well, thats my 2cents.

The house I was living in at the time had a line fault. Telkom techs spent an entire day over there trying to fix it, with the final conclusion being, "Loldunno, we can't do anything about it".

I was on Wireless 2 and converted to the 10Gig package FOR FREE.

My normal debit order went off last week for R198.

This morning another IBURST debit order goes off for R178 and I see there is another R25 Invoice still pending on Iburst website...

PLease explain IBURST!

I had the same from my account. Mine was R166.06. Please explain. Great company, but things likes this put bad word out there...

Same here I've been double debited this billing cycle

I have been double billed as well, looks like iBurst has boosted their profits this month by stealing money from all their customers

Just spoke to account, they have billed me for my new package M40 even though I had paid exactly the same amount at the beginning of the month. call reference: 506173. was also told that they will only credit me the money at the end of the month.

this was never explained to me when I migrated to the new account. I was unable to pay for medication I need this morning because of a lack of funds in my account. if this money is not in my account by this afternoon, I will be laying a charge of theft against the CEO of iburst, a Mr Thami Mtshali I was toild

Same here. They debited my account on the 25th October for R445 and now again on the 5th November for R185.23.

/Waits for an explanation from iBurst or r00i.
